  1. Fantastic reggae from 1969, now being played as a chill out tune at a venue near you. My own copy, beautiful condition, £30 plus postage 2.40 recorded. cheers pete
  2. Here's another nasty one...can't even be bothered to do the correct label https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BOBBY-KLINE-SAY-SOMETING-NICE-TO-ME-LARRY-WEISS-454-N-S-TOP-500-/380675868126?pt=UK_Records&hash=item58a20cc5de
  3. Or he's just bumping it for the seller?
  4. This is daft, it's just a poll for fun, there's no prize, why not just cancel the poll if it's going to be fixed?
  5. Dave's right - Little Anthony's version can't be bettered. I love this version though.
  6. From a Northern point of view, the best was knocked out in an early round, Popcorn Wylie and Tony Hester!
  7. Miles Grayson production from L.A. Must be looking at £1500 for this now. Should have bought it when I had the chance at £400. That copy had the managers name and contact number on it.
  8. You did well then, I sold a complete set a year back and was lucky to get £120, I say lucky as there was only one bidder. Paid £120 so didn't lose anything.
  9. Someone asked the exact same question a month back. Around £125.
  10. We can't see the bidders identities though can we Glyn? Aren't they scrambled?
  11. On the other hand - it's buyer beware - surely, if you are going to make an investment of this value you'd do your research - unless of course, you don't actually care and are so rich that £300 for a bootleg is nothing, maybe?
  12. You're right.
  13. No, he has the say over whether the question appears or not, in this case I doubt if he would allow the questions to appear!
  14. He gives the delta number and of course anyone who knows about delta numbers can date it to around 1975 - except us record nerds are in the minority and the general buying public don't know about these things.
  15. I collect ska, heavily, have done since before I collected soul, 40 years...but the ska/reggae reissue market is vibrant, especially Japanese repros, so I've sold all my rare titles and replaced them with top quality lookalikes. It made perfect sense in this financial climate, and I still got to keep my favourite tunes. So original format is not the way for me. However - if I was asked to DJ at a 'serious' Northern do, I wouldn't insult the patrons by playing off reissues, I'd make sure I only had originals. If it was at our local pub, I'd play off originals and reissues...
  16. item number 141016364933 sorry for some reason I can't paste the link but it's a bootleg of The Tomangoes and it's currently at £304, surely the highest price ever for a pressing?
  17. Thinking about this, I think Four Brothers should all be on one line?
