  1. It's not a boot, it's a reissue from 1975 after the song became popular in the UK. Value is £8 / £10.
  2. Very true mate. There are loads of records nowadays that I just don't get. Maybe I haven't got the patience to listen and it has to be instant. Sometimes when I download loads of stuff off the net, say maybe 100 popcorn and r&b tunes, I go through them and if I don't like them after 20 seconds, they are deleted for ever!
  3. I sold mine before the new one was announced and it just about sold at £60, and it was pristine - I heard those stories about it being £100 but never seen one actually go for that. Same with Skinhead Bible, was happy to take £40 for it, people asking £75 or so have still got theirs.
  4. I agree. Matt, you say 'quality', exactly where is the quality? It's got absolutely no redeeming features at all, rubbish band, rubbish singer, rubbish song...

An artists scalpel is thinner than one groove Bob! Even a stanley knife blade will do the job.

  7. Fish and chips all over the place. Possibly the worst lyric ever.

I used to be able to do it but can't see well enough now. It's very easy, all you need is a good magnifier and a scalpel. I think Boba said he could do something.

The original is by The Moody Blues!

You are correct though It is a shame though that nobody can comment when a ludicrous price appears
  11. JOHNNY MAE MATTHEWS - I HAVE NO CHOICE / THAT'S WHEN IT HURTS - BIG HIT 105. This one is a typical 'never been kept in a sleeve' copy, crackly especially at the start, improves as it proceeds, but does have audible background noise. You can hear the actual record on the podcast below and make up your own mind (every records on that podcast is or was for sale) It's at 49 mins 30 seconds approximately. Asking £300. Scan at bottom of post is actual copy, sorry it's a rubbish photo. (B side if anyone is interested, is in poor condition, fair to good) https://www.mixcloud.com/mayfairmenthol/soul-for-sale-2/
  12. Yours definitely sounds like the real thing - I'm sure the one I bought was a 'recent' one
  13. I got that out of HMV same price
  14. Steve I think I sold you a couple of rare 70's white demos - I've not seen copies since: Andre Maurice - You're the cream of the crop - Bale WD Kim Tolliver - I don't know what foot to dance on - Castro WD both of those must be mega rare but both are cheap
  15. Can you remember what section? * found it, thats been listed before, it's a bit knackered
  16. Dunno, it makes me feel superior to them when I see them knowing what I know. Have to laugh as I see one of them constantly being praised on here.

Exactly. But it's £60 tops. I've got a vg+ one for £30 if any takers. Crackles a bit in one channel.
  18. Fantastic work mate, this is what it's all about, sharing information after doing amazing detective work. I always feel humbled by the likes of yourself, Andy Rix etc who somehow manage to collate all of this knowledge and share it with us. Just think what we wouldn't know if it weren't for guys like these. I'd like to thank you all for educating us.
  19. Thanks Dolly Though I can barely move in here now that I have bought jukebox number 2
  20. Mentioned this before but I got my first one of a UK pop list where it was described as a "Gene Pitney soundalike" Got the high bid, £400.
  21. As I said, this is the first I've heard of it, I've never heard of or seen a repro, if there is one it must be very very recent or the bloke doesn't have a clue
  22. Never heard of a boot of this, got mine on ebay as well!
