All counterfeits are bootlegs in that they are illegal pressings, except a counterfeit is a pressing that sets out to look like the original, often in an attempt to pass it off as such, whereas the more general term bootleg refers to any illegal pressing of a track.

Nah I was just lucky, well patient and lucky, I had looked at every single record in that section so the work paid off. I remember when £6 was the actual going rate though!

It's a definite original. There is no bootleg of the cream and red issue.

I can't believe anyone who was attending allnighters in the 70's did not relate to Quadrophenia, especially the living for the weekend ethic, the highs of saturday night followed by the comedowns, being ill at work etc, looking for gear during the week, visits to chemists and so on, absolutely 100% reminded me of "us" when we were younger and still does.

Would think Wigan 1975 going by it's reissue that year on UK Capitol. Think I have a tape of Richard playing it. I agree, it's crap.

The Sassy copy should only really be 150 but I see people selling it for 200-300, if they get it, good luck to them

If I was selling it I'd want £20 for that one.

I think the James Carr B & C demo appeared on ebay a couple of years back

There's a really rare, first label release of this, only ever seen it once, on the "P.S." label, dark blue label.
