Article in the Stafford local paper today say -quote-our local university could be transformed into a film set for 'Souled Out' a £1million production due to be shown in cinemas nationwide and abroad. It will star ex- Brooksider Jennifer Ellison and Gerald Kearns from Shameless. It is set in 1974 and based on the Northern soul scene telling the story of Wigan Casino which was famous for its all-night northern soul sessions. Some of it could also be filmed in Stoke. The film is still awaiting the last stage of funding from screen West Midlands before it gets the final go ahead. If it goes through pre-production will take place in December and January and filming starting in February. Stafford has been chosen because of the new hi tech film studio openned in March. Sue
