Picked up the Nice mint white demo in the Open market in Manchester for 25 p in the 70s and then gave it to a record shop in reading about 7 years later with 3 or 4 others for a Heavy metal LP

This is not telling the Mods how to do their job but is a query! Whats the difference between posting an MP3 in one part of the site from than in sales. I thought The Goverment had just changed the law on copyright or are about to! I appreciate rules Mike but I thought in the past the MP3 situation had been resolved by refosoul; but as refosoul is not active can you have Mp3s for the purpose of study? as their is no intention to defraud the copyright holder and I think this is where the goverment have latched onto! Sorry if this sounds like a little pressure to get Refosoul up and running again but I am missing it ! Its a great source of unknown material.

I tried on here a year or so ago - try to suggest a pricing system where a poll would be done and the average would give an indication especially around classic oldies. The record collector guide has a price reduction matrix which I use when Im selling records and when Im offering to buy one. as put by many on this thread people try to sell VG records for the price of mint and use the term "Demand" as their excuse!. I think if John put the price condition matrix into his book that would help. If JOhn is reading this what do you think JOHN!

Like Pete says were regarded as pressings infact the term Boot was rarely used - It was always - "Its a pressing"! and what they really meant was it was a boot. The Okeh small 45s were regarded the same.
