  1. OK, thanks for that and this then just confirms that I was wrong and to finalize my typo theory I managed to do a good quick but defo check and found that they used the same pressing plant; AND so it is 1970 or 1971 or...
  2. Like the font for the lettering on your computer. Typography Served features top work in categories such as typeface design, lettering, illustrated typography, or any piece with a strong typographic treatment. Like so or so
  3. Maybe for the wrong reasons, but I always was a bit weary about that Volumes on Karen. The look of the label, the typo and the way the record is pressed gave me the impression it was not an early 7T's press. The odd comes with that the Jimmy 'Soul' Clark 'I blew a good thing' shares the same overall design and fabric, but they are no match with their catalogue numbers. Ollie McLaughlin catalogue numbers were all over the place so that is that. Now I have never seen another Karen/Carla record with the same design and fabric as those two. They must be contemporary and another run from all the others Karen and Carla records. Could anyone confirm that the Jimmy 'Soul' Clark 'I blew a good thing' was a known record since the early or mid 7T's ?
  4. Hello world, it's monday and my last podcast was due on time for delivery this time. https://www.mixcloud.com/Cloudfunk/timmy-soul-pesents-candy-session/
  5. Time gaps are not only 'unexplainable' scientifically ! Just blame it on me and the monkey on my back if you can pity me. It is saturday evening by now and here's the link to my last "monday" podcast that was actually posted between last tuesday and wednesday... https://www.mixcloud.com/Cloudfunk/timmy-soul-presents-alfred-e-newmans-shack-retirement-top-catch-22-tips/
  6. Same here, I use to warn the buyers about the item they've purchased. Shame you can't do that anymore. Even though it could be "a double edge sword" for Ebay who then would have to handle complaints from both parts and sort out the honest complaints from the pervert ones. But since, the perverts have the FB !
  7. Indeed all wrong. Somebody got ripped off. One look is enough even without comparing.
  8. Would you know where I could find a sample of the Kent version ?
  9. PUSH UP ! Not just because I own a copy, but the flip ballad side 'I won the big deal (this time)' is also more than worth the money you'll pay.
  10. Here T'is just on line... https://www.mixcloud.com/Cloudfunk/timmy-soul-presents-my-little-pony-rainbow-trippin-on-plastic-grooves/
  11. Same here. At the same time why would the yellow one be the very first issue while it's seem to be more common/numerous around ? The other way around would make more sense IMO.
  12. Now added scans of actual record for sale and back with a BANG 4 Soul-Source rebirth in full mode !
  13. Top copy in company sleeve of this great little girl shouter. Remember when visiting Paul Rudzys shop some 20 years ago the little talk about how hard is to get this little baby not double sided with only 'good girl's gone bad'. A really descent slowie on it's own. But for northerners it's nothing to dance to. 23 years ago or so, I was going through this NOS "USA Imports" full of 45's and there was about 50 double sided copies of June Gatlin on Revue and only ONE with that 'baby cakes' flip. That was my very first copy of it. I was so proud and happy then ! It was my record of the month then. Listening to Chalky last podcast of a tape from Rob Marriot of sept. '92 'baby cakes' played... Just like that I "flashed-back" some 23 years ago on the spot. This is a spare copy that I'm letting go now. This is a Mintish store stock issue in full company sleeve and it is the styrene copy. Those Revue records are good styrene looking and playing ones. Scans from actual record and sound clips are from YouTube but plays as good ! 30 £ FREE POST TO ALL OVER THE WORLD ! (extra 6 £ to have it signed for) payment through Paypal as 'to family or friends' gradings M, EX, VG, G PM me for inquiries
  14. Morning Soul-Sourcers, the upload of my last podcast on www.mixcloud.com/cloudfunk is now online; Back with his OVOs 45, Timmy starts this one with few obvious northern soul belters then takes a turn towards some variations of deep and deeper souls... https://www.mixcloud.com/Cloudfunk/timmy-soul-presents-little-eddie-taylor-the-action-packed-soul-man/ Just a little reminder that this "Cloudfunk" station is not aimed to the connoisseurs or the purists. So it's aiming rather to everyone that includes Joe Public aswell. We are based in Brussels and for this Soul music of Ours there is no scene as such. Even though there are little things (or bigger but then bugger...) happening from tie to time. And there are few people into "IT" or about it. Those deeper in soul as such are actually very few. Loads can like some of it and parties and most seem to bare it to a certain "amount". So actually the first aim with this "Cloudfunk" is to promote our ZoundZs via Mixcloud. So if some Joe Public somewhere in Belgium or nearby digs it, he/she/it (robots have right too !) can be informed about the next do where such or such DJ will be casting. Enjoy !
  15. Hi there, I love both Major Lance & Jimmy Williams versions of 'I'm so lost' but don't know the Danny Williams one. Is it possible to get a soundclip ? Cheers, Tim
  16. Seen that (scan is from JM) but that price is not mine.
  17. OK, I do believe that but I have never seen one from close nor far. Now that copy on Gule is news to me. Looking different than the cute Candy Stix ones. It has that typical Texas label look. But maybe it's not Texas. Still I want one.
  18. My silver (multi ?) is vinyl as all the others I've seen. My silver label is the right way around if some others were not. Still silver copies 3 X time less common than the yellow release. Do they sound the same though ? I never had a yellow to check if the mix was different anyway.
  19. promo real deal stock issue bootleg Never seen this before one before. Boot or what is it ? Label is clean and seem to have use the same stamper. It seem to bear that oversize thicker platter than the playing surface that some mid 7T's USA 12" singles have. This on is a mistery to me. Picture was actually captured from 'refosoul' on here, so the one who posted the picture might know better...
