Blagged our way past the DS at the train staition, chased up the street locals with swords yet on a friday oldies alnighter went down myself from Edinburgh bought a few records put them in my bag upstairs went and danced nothin was touched. Luck of the draw i suppose, Fookin loved the place.

Used to love gettin Black Echoes for the playlists, dont know what problem is we all like to know whos playing what. Cant believe the negative comments about something thats always been a part of the soul scene.

Cant fault that playlist quality tunes. Brings back great memories(on the phone to soulbowl Monday mornin with a wish list). Did get some of above stuff but sold them off few years back .

Unknown Pleasures good selection soul,funk and reggie(rarer stuff behind the counter). A very neat and tidy wee shop. Theres Backbeat Records just up the road worth a browse, though the guy puts the rarer stuff on ebay.
