  2. Hi folks, got two record boxes for sale, Record Box 1 - Black outside, looks to be a 7ts / 8ts one, in great condition, Handle and strap are fine, few old sticker marks on here where its previous owner put record pics and flyers on, plus one very small tear in the vinyl on the side of the box, maybe 5/6 mm, nothing to talk about. Takes I think 150/160 x 45's in a single lane. A very nice box £40 Plus Postage or collection from South Wales. Record Box 2 - Silver outside (Flight Case), cushion cover in the lid, Takes I think 225/ 250 x 45's in three lanes (approx. 75 records per lane). A very nice box £45 Plus Postage or collection from South Wales. Pictures below, and questions drop me a PM. Regard to post, I haven’t taken these to be weighed, so I'd do that upon request. * Cat not for sale...yet! Best Malc

  9. I really like Mark Williams (white NZ Singer) version of House for Sale. He also did a nice version of 'Why Cant we be Lovers' the Holland Dozier Holland song on his Lp 'Taking it all in Stride' well worth a listen.
  10. Nice scan and a bit of info I have. Real Name Ernie Lucas, West Coast release, recording as himself on Okeh (twice), as Lord Jim on the same Blue Star label, and as Karl Evans on Skyway.

  13. I can't help you with reading suggestions I'm afraid, but this is a very interesting subject, and the open Letter from Motown, I'd never seen that before, and of course they were a major player, so thats a normal industry level realease. Published here and there I assume? you dont mention the source? Had to chuckle, I'm sure most of you who read this did as well, so we sent the Hollies, Searchers, Gerry & the Pacemakers, Dave Clark Five the other way... yep, you can have them...

  22. Nope, they got to be exciting as Mello Souls, but only worth a fraction... I think 'Mercy Men - You Made it Thunder' is a credable one here, not as fast and manic as Mello Souls, not many are, but it's got that edge! and thankns @Dave Pinch I knew it was expensive when it first turned up, don't remember who's discovery that one was.
  23. Mercy Men - You Made it Thunder? Maynot be £20 now, but it was about that price for ages and ages...
