Take your own journey mate. Spotify or youtube is a good place to get started as they offer other tunes up to listen to. Try to avoid soul packs from major dealers they are usually a pile of shite. Better off getting bits from collectors as mentioned above - there are lots of lots on ebay that would serve you better where records can be bought for a few quid each. Des Parker Soul Inc on here does really good lists of all genres almost daily with very good tunes for mainly under a tenner. Maybe look at Grapevines 70s UK releases Black Magic too. Classics for a few quid on ebay. Worry about the originals side of it later but you can still get good tunes on original US pressing for a few quid if you look on uk ebay.

I wrote to the guy a few days ago asking if it was an original and he said he had the same question from other buyers and the posted the deadwax details in the questions section as he cant adjust the title once bids are registered. i them said why not pull it as the price is already well over what the second issue would fetch and funilly enough he never responded. it seemed to me he was happy enough to let it run thinking he had done his bit to let people know but i mentioned that many had it in their watching list prior to the update he made which a lot if people have clearly missed. No response. 709 quid is a decent price for an original in that condition so someone will be really hacked off once it arrives. Very poor behaviour indeed.

There are still bargains to be had even if we do reach parity with the dollar. Of course people will buy less but I doubt if US dealers will drop prices as the UK is not the only place soul records get sold to. Sell in dollars if you are buying in dollars.

Do not send tunes there without tracking if you dont know them. If they do not arrive you can see why, if they are lying you can see that too and so can paypal. Its so easy to avoid. That said this is one of the reasons I do not sell on ebay any more.
