  3. It's an addictive scene in more ways than one, when you get gripped with collecting records it is wonderful to see and if you are lucky enough, to own such records. Also you have the history in front of you of many artists who struggled to release a recording, which is sad that they are not getting their rightful cut of such record deals. A great deal of the records sold are works of art in their own right coming from a period of time that will never be repeated. Who knows what the future will hold with prices? When you have so many great tunes out there, there will probably always be a market. Happy hunting to you all!
  4. It was reissued on Kent, but if you look on Discogs there is a note of a boot. All the best and happy hunting!

I'm not saying that I was the reason for the KFC Adverts reference Northern Soul, but a time before the adverts started I had a knock at my door in Wiltshire from a market research company. They asked if I would mind answering a few questions on fast food for a voucher to be sent on at a later date. I thought why not, the person had a laptop and showed me a few advertising videos, after each one they asked me what I thought and did I know the company. The first was for burger king as I noticed the logo, they asked would I buy more of their food, I said no chance!, the second was for Mcdonalds and I answered the same. The third was for KFC with Frank Wilson sound track, I said that it was brilliant and that I would buy more KFC certainly, they asked why and I said- top tune to hear whilst eating your food- we need more adverts like this!!! I chuckled as the market researcher left my house. When I saw the amount of KFC commercials involving soul music in the future, I was shocked- probably just a coincidence!!
  6. Such sad news One of my favs- R.I.P
  7. I will pm you thanks
  8. Very good price wish I'd seen it you haven't got another copy? ...lol
  9. Dealers can be a great help at times as often they can get better values than you can by personally selling, as they have built up a trust with many people over the years, especially on more expensive records. It can be worth paying them a commission to sell. Also you take away the pain of actually selling the records.
  10. A sad day R.I.P Bunny, I feel privileged to have seen him perform live and will cherish the records I have - thanks for the memories....
  11. Great article- Thanks to an Ann & Les for sharing such great memories- I'm really looking forward to the weekender in Folkestone- there's a real buzz about it and I know it's gonna be a weekend to remember. If you haven't got your tickets yet make it even more of a cracker !. The venues look superb with some great live acts- also Ann & Les have promoted it so well over the last year. Really looking forward to hearing tunes from many genres and catching up with old friends and new- ktf..
  12. Great record
  13. Based on the Manship guide it is a boot - I'd love an original of this great tune. The delta #64784 should be in the runout not #100272 as stated by the seller in the questions asked. There's been alot of bids!
  14. Such sad news, I feel privileged to have known Paul, a true gent and wonderful person to be around. My thoughts go out to Clare and the family xxx

  19. Never mind mate- keep spinning the quality tunes! thanks for letting me know..
  20. I love the 12inch of this tune, the way it's supposed to be. I know it's 7 minutes long but pure quality...
  21. Yes the boots sound fine and are quite rare in their own right- hope your copy is an original so that you can either gaze at it in amazement or sell it to help with Xmas !! lol..
  22. I have a boot on the Beacon label which doesn't have a solid centre- I think it may have been a 7t's boot- it's definitely not an original- would love a proper one to play out.. thanks for your interest in the record.
  23. No problem Mark I understand and thanks to Tobytyke for trying to get you to sell! lol- I'm the same with vinyl- like to keep as much as I can! all the best..
  24. Thanks! a good home waiting for an original! ..
  25. Thanks Mark R The original is a solid centre with anti slip milling around the edge and stamped. I think in this market it would be between £250 to £300 for one in excellent/near mint condition, Manship values it at £150 in his British Price Guide. I have a boot of it which I play at home , but would like an original to dj with. All the best..
