  1. Totally agree, the fact it doesn't cost a million quid is the reason it ain't played out, which is a real shame! It's a blinder!
  2. Just when I thought there wasn't many bargains left on the bay,I got this for £6,not quite a fiver mind you! Gay jamison-stay another day-turntable
  3. Is this an unissued track,or a newly written and recorded song?
  4. I reckon it was "lazy" that sold for more, totally different record to "lady" your price is about right for this anyway, good luck with the sale,a great double sider!
  5. Yes,some months back he sold a bunch on averages from breakthrough/mutt&Jeff,but it would appear the buyer didn't see the deal through on the inspirations acetate.
  6. Thanks guys...knowledge is a powerful thing!
  7. Sorry guys I don't know how to do ebay links. The inspirations acetate on breakthrough is back on eBay
  8. That has to be now in the top 5 documented expensive northern soul records?
  9. I sold a phonetics-just a boys dream on here for a couple hundred quid, that was cracked and glued together, but it played alright, and for a record that is rare and hardly ever comes up for sale less than 1500 quid, collector or dj would be more than happy with a less than glamouress looking record for cheap money!
  10. Great record!..has this ever appeared on a black issue?
  11. In the end a good northern soul record is a good northern soul record whether it was discovered in the 70's or last week! We all know what makes up a decent northern soul tune, some take longer than others to fit in,but they all do in the end!
  12. Is tony Blackburn up to his old tricks again?
  13. evryone has got or had the bottom end stuff and probably wants the more middle to top end records,so you aint got much chance of selling the bottom end stuff really, unless new collectors come in and start off with cheaper stuff! sell them as packs for dead cheap money...that will appeal to all the greed in us all...haha
  14. That's easy!...everyone is a good dj...and I'm a great dj....only joking,I don't dj really! Haha
  15. Couldn't have put it better myself!
  16. How fantastic is it to have an artist take the time to put a mention up on here....brilliant!
  17. Yes Jocko I can see where your coming from,I've actually not worded the sentence to how I meant it,its more a visual statement, the professionals and toni ross gives me the feeling of northern soul and dancing and spinning to them at a sweaty allnighter, the Sandy golden gives me a completely different image, but saying that, the reason I was drawn to and stayed with northern soul is because it's so varied, and I certainly wouldn't turn my nose up to it if I was offered one at the right money.
  18. When I hear the sandy golden-you are my everything, the way she sings with the piano tinkling away,I imagine her stood at a piano in cabaret bar!
  19. Don't get me wrong, the professionals is in my top 5 best tunes ever, but the sandy golden is closer to bar music than soul, but the toni ross stands a chance of being a big sound on the northern scene in the future, especially if a couple more copys turn up.
  20. The toni ross will out shine the sandy golden and the professionals...sandy golden and professionals have had there day, time to shove over for some fresh unknown (to many) real deal rare northern soul!
  21. jm has listed a sandy golden..and some other tasty items...this is a big expensve xmas!
  22. i wonder if its a SCRATCH & SNIFF and smells of banana? haha
  23. i more interested in the toni ross he has just listed!
  24. well done ted...you were right all along....although i find it being a bit of a let down!
