  2. Nah your'e right, there's no rush. I'm gonna feed the rabbit, whizz up the shop and get some ciggies. Then I'll give this my best attention.
  3. Dunno Godz. Looks like Ronnie Barker in a wig hat Clues now mate, me thinks. It'll only be tumbleweeds in an hour - you know it makes sense ps, not Eden Kane is it?
  4. I found it eventually Karen, using the unconventional method of pasting a whole web address in Google. Tonight's Soul Deep all about Supremes. Some Chess, nice Fontella Bass & Etta James etc. Wonder why Berry Gordy himself wasn't on there? Only really dealt with #1 selling group at Motown. Two and three in Marvin + The Temps would have been nice. Oh well all good stuff I spose. Otis, Pickett & Atlantic next week.

I know what a riff is. Just thought Pete Townshend was a pretty good guitarist and they wouldn't have needed Jimmy Page. However it was early and you are infact correct about that.

You sure? Can't explain wasn't exactly a hard riff to play and what was Pete Townshend doing? I know two hero's today - Arsene Wenger & Jens Lehman
  8. Have an LP of Marvin's with the lonely lover track on it. Name of album escapes me, but it's the one with him leaning on a cadilac.
  9. Barm ba ba barm etc Speaking of Human Beinz, did anyone see Kill Bill on Sky tother night? Had HB nobody but me in the film

Heard tell that the Yardbirds turned into Led Zep and that someone commented "your new group's gonna go down like a Led Zepplin" and thus the reformed group had their new name

AC - Hero? Well I don't know but as the promoter of the longest running all-nighter of all time, he ain't far shy IMO

  17. This is also the Kent 11th Anniversary single (see gallery).
  18. I reckon Pete-S may the man for this Jon. He's a bit of a whizz at that sort of thing
  19. Nice choices - esp Jackie TBL. Karaoke rooms! Top Idea
  20. I saw it, (the question mark that is) but that's not one I'm gonna check up on mate.
  21. You're too modest Steve!
  22. Bum thread premonition Hour gone ... Come now, don't be bashful, everyone sings in the bath/shower - don't they?
  23. I like to listen to soul around the house. Vinyl & multi cd in the living room - Ray Charles (Currently) in the kitchen - Wigan Memories - in the bedroom*. Personal compilation cd's in the car and in the bathroom. It's the car and the bathroom where most of the singing along takes place and the one's I enjoy the most are the one's where I can get near the right vocal pitch and sound something like the tune that's playing (well, in my mind probably). Tunes I enjoy a good sing along to include Arthur Alexander - You better move on. Mark Loyd - When I'm gonna find her. Freddie Gorman - The day will come. Lenny O Henry - Mr Moonlight and B J Thomas - Baby cried, to name but a few. So what tunes make you sound good? Doesn't have to be soul necessarily but everyone has fave sing alongs right? *Wigan Memories - in the bedroom. Just like to ad a "yeah yeah" before this gets quoted out of context further down the line. If I get any replies on this thread that is.
  24. No it's a new series. But I've seen some similar footage before with his brother speaking etc. Think this was also on BBC not long ago remember missing the start and taping the rest.
