How can it be a reissue if never issued in the UK? It may have been done for the scene but it is still a first UK issue.
  2. It wasn’t BBC but Granada TV. Where are the Granada archives now? I would also imagine Palmer has all the footage too and not sure why he didn’t use it on the video release.
  3. Tony Palmer owns This England I believe. He put the film out on video few years ago. There was no out takes on it though?
  4. Not sure who it is aimed at with a £140 price tag?
  5. He never owned it. Soussan sent acetates over. Les McCutcheon Bought Simon’s collection which included DILY. It was then sold to Jonathon who sold it to Kev who I believe then sold it to Tim. The copy in the clip last night looks like an emi/acetate/carver with a photocopied label.
  6. Swan Flight do a 100 count one https://www.swanflight.com/dj-flight-cases/dj-record-boxes-flightcases/7-singles-record-boxes/record-box-7-100.html
  7. That was the last I believe then. October 2nd was put on cause Richard and Bernie had their SASofGB at Wigan Tiffs on.
  8. The schedule for the closure of Wigan....Not sure if the December one went ahead? 9. Slacking a bit, few recent shows.... and finally last nights show, a two hour Stafford All-nighters Special with Alan Kitchener.
  10. Blackpool International Soul Festival the biggest and probably the best for what you want. some great live acts too. Blackpool Tower, Whitby, Brid main room, Skeggy in September main room also oldies. There are others but these are probably the most popular for the oldies lovers. Cleethorpes used to be the best till Ady stopped running it, haven’t been since for one reason or other.
  11. They are turning up now, been a few last few months, two sellers not far from each other sold on ebay few weeks ago. Not very good record either.
  12. I’ve just sold one for £19 on discogs, was cheaper than all the other copies on there, paid more than a fiver for it too.
  13. But the artists aren’t helping themselves, the Grace Love one above a prime example, accessible to few. Forget trying to make a rarity, make them accessible to all, they might get more attention.
  14. It must cost more or as much to get 50 cds done than 1000 unless they are homemade job
  15. 50 cds and $15 for download? Are these artists no longer interested in selling music? One reason I no longer bother with many of these releases, especially with average ballads you hear every day.

Common knowledge his whereabouts and that he is on facebook, or so I thought. He doesn’t get involved and has no interest in the scene.

  19. The show is about the photos Francesco Mellina took at the last night, not sure which last night. It retraces some of those who are in the photos I believe. Russ probably does what he normally does and take all the credit. Waiting for it to appear on iplayer.
  20. Allan still has the acetate is Chris Bartley. The Funny Face girl probably came from the same haul as the Charmaines that Kev Roberts found, all part of a haul of Date and connected recordings.
  21. Not sure where it is now, maybe Kitch, he played it on Dean's show recently.
  22. That is true but the vast majority of punters aren’t new to the game and the majority will know the classics. He may have heard it for the very first time but I bet 90% in the KH were hearing it for the umpteenth time. i don’t mind oldies if some imagination is used but rarely does it get used.
