Wigan Rejects
William Cummings, Butch says it was a £4 rarity on Soul Bowl in 1974 then £1 special in 1975 when he and Tim got copies, it's on here somewhere. Like you say though, Pete don't think it was played till years later from what I could find out.

I Think I May Have Found Some Lost Archive Tapes
I found a company that converted reel to reel to cd for you, cost about £40 for an hours worth of material.

Frankie & Classicals
I had the issue (well I'm 99.9% certain) in the late 80's early 90's with the spoken intro. Always thought the way to tell is with the numbers above and not issue/demo.

Grading Records Headphones Or Not ?
When vinyl discs were pressed and the excess trimmed, the excess was re-ground and reused on further 45's. because it wasn't virgin vinyl if would often get things like air trapped in it and this would give the 45 background noise. One of the reasons a record might look mint but doesn't play mint. Many styrene might look mint but could have cue burn or the quality has deteriorated as styrene does. As others said if there is a difference in play and visual then state this.

How Bad Was Wigan, Really
I would imagine any venue with an irresistible thirst for newies will play some turkey's. I can't think of one leading trend setting venue of this scene that didn't. You get good and bad in everything in life but the good more often than not out weighs the bad.

Covered up by Butch mid to later 80's, forget off top of my head what it was covered as. Andy Dyson and Mick H also have copies and "Look At You" current big sound again, well both sides really.

I've had contact with Chris via e-mail. He pretty much didn't have much to add that wasn't already said by Harpo playlist like, he actually said his memory not up to much ask Harpo I've got enough to do what I want to do anyway and it was good to see someone get some recognition. Thanks to everyone.
