I know it's the same label Bob, what I meant was related to Joe Stevenson/Del-Val like the Magnetics is production/arranging wise.
  5. It isn't listed in https://www.45cat.com/label/philips-us/4 but the records either side are May 1967 so I would guess the same month?

I don't know if the other Ra-Sel are related Bob, just the Magnetics according to the booklet were Joe produced and recorded. He probably had no involvement in the other releases.

Butch has been playing a F/W acetate by Joe Adams as well (I think it is Joe Adams) called Stop. Absolutely brilliant to these ears. First heard it at one of the Thorne summer specials and it blew me away first time. There's an excellent CD by Philly Archives called the Best of Del Val Records. According to this Pentagon with 7 releases is related (Vince Apollo etc). According to the CD 1005 came out twice, as Bob says and then Ever Again/Thats Not Half BAd (version two). Amongst others The Magnetics on Ra-Sel is a Joe Stevenson production and recording as well.
  12. Don't think anyone disagrees Robb but as a buyer and if I didn't know the difference I wouldn't always take an ebay sellers word for it unless I knew them to be trustworthy, I would take the trouble to find out for myself using other resources.

  18. This is how it should be and you shouldn't have to ask. The seller was out of order IMO if he knew it was a boot. But then again it doesn't take much to find the info either, a quick google will take you to the topics on here.
  19. You could buy old 60's blanks not so long go, virtue etc. and get a new track on both sides of the acetate.
  20. He sold quite a few dodgy acetates to a few collectors. I pulled I'm up on another topic about it as well.
  21. Seen it described as a scene changing record and have to agree. It is awesome and always fills the floor when I hear it out, even usually frets me on floor Vicky Baines is great Northern as is William Powell even though his singing is as bad as George Lemons.
  22. I thought he had releases where his name is spelt both ways?
  23. Ben E King...who the fooks he?
  24. Think the info comes from Bruce's Facebook page but I couldn't see a date.
  25. I agree Bob it cold be possible but like you I would need more than a Canadian website said so.
