The Tandels Is It Love Baby
The Jam-Char sounds like a demo recording done in the toilet, poor quality really. Not as good as the Kent version IMO. Still a bargain for such a rarity.

The Tandels Is It Love Baby
Did it get a release on Kent? It is a previously unissued track.

Photogrpahy At Northern Soul Events
Aren't we losing the plot here a bit? We aren't talking about re-using someone else's work, we are talking somebody taking photos at a Soul Night/Nighter. Personally I can't see the problem. If someone objects, delete there photo and carry on elsewhere. Some like to see them. I take photos occasionally, usually acts though. I've had so many lifted and no credit given or permission sought. I've even had some say they were taken by them All the fun of a night out is slowly being drained by people continually harping on that you can't do this that or other or play this that or other.

Lenis Guess
Is there a list of Lenis Guess productions anywhere? Reason I ask is there was once a record covered up as Night Time Woman by Gy Hennigan at Stafford. He remembers the label being something to do with Lenis Guess and out of New Jersey but not the artist or label name. I'm trying to suss what it actually is.

I've read the 1970 remix was done because Smokey had no intentions of performing with the Miracles anymore or touring?

Who Played Bass On Tears Of A Clown....?
You will no doubt always have someone claiming they did this session or that session in the hope that no one can remember from 40 plus years ago.  I wonder how many session musicians kept accurate records of what hey did?  No doubt many were just having a breeze gettin paid to play music and all the action that went with being a well know musician around town, the drink, drugs, women etc. I presume the record company kept records mind?

The Soul Craft Logo James Dockery Etc
Hi Cornelius. Welcome to Soul Source. So you are James Dockery? you say you also wrote it? Where and when did you record this great record. Why the slightly different reissue, did it pick up plays again elsewhere?

Inky Club
Is Eddie still knocking about venues in Chesterfield? I'm gonna have to get to a night in town sometime and catch up with everyone. Hollingwood Hotel was late 80's into the 90's, I was one of the residents there. Manlove's were the promoters, mainly Dave then later Keith.

Great Intro's
Mello Souls, just about one of the best intro to a Northern Soul dancer ever IMO. Proper aggro or ampethesoul or whatever you wanna call it. In the days when I could that intro always had me running to the dance floor.
