  1. from the Met Office site.... Headline: Rain, sleet and snow continuing eastwards. Widespread ice following countrywide. This Evening and Tonight: Rain, sleet and snow continuing eastwards, lingering over southeastern England by dawn. Significant accumulations of snow are likely, particularly in eastern and central Britain. Clearer conditions will follow from the northwest, giving widespread ice and some fog patches. Sunday: Starting icy and locally foggy. Snow easing and clearing southeastern Britain during the morning, with eastern UK then dry. Rain soon spreading into western parts however, coupled with hill snow. Updated: 1522 on Sat 4 Feb 2012
  2. Christopher Price from Norwich according to the ebay listing. Hopefully Lou will see this and take some action, infact I'll send him a link then he will be aware.
  3. I've never heard a decent recording. I know someone who compiled a CD of them and he couldn't find a decent one either. He came to me cause he saw a scan I posted somewhere. Tough one too.
  4. If I had 600 quid spare and "Take A Look" came along I'd probably buy it, it would be for me, for my collection and not with a view to selling on when I got fed up with life. I can't imagine why anyone would try and compare two different records as well, both great records IMO in their own right.
  5. A mate of mine Gary Welsh asked if I'd post a few sales for him so here they are. Some real quality 45's on off and if you are interested send me a PM and I'll pass on Gary's contact details. 7. 12 and 7 inch Dave if I remember rightly, it's the flip on the 7 to TWIXR. The vocals are the same but synthesisers are added to the backing or the whole backing is done on synth. I can't remember 100% it has been some years since I heard it, I very nearly binned it when I bought it and played it!!!
  8. Yep 100% boot Benji. There should have been a second but they never got round to it.
  9. I know the ones you are talking about now, boots as far as I am aware. There was about 8 in total I think.
  10. Legit or of dubious origin? Anyone got a scan as can't remember this off top of my head?
  11. Nice one Kev...will download when I get home, more listening next week whilst driving :-)
  12. The 80's release with synth is terrible IMO. It was released as the flip to I think The World Is X Rated. I remember buying it and was so p*ssed off when I played it thinking it would be the original 60's take...
  13. You don't see the "Take a look" that often. Would say £400 a bit low, £600 more like it. And it fills the floor whenever I've heard it played out.
  14. I remember when I finally tracked Kell down, took me ages to find him, anyway I rang him up and we had a good chat. Eventually "Law against a heartbreaker" came up and he said he'd not heard it in over 30 years.......I said hang on and played it down the phone to him, he just said "wow" several times, that was all he could say.
  15. Gutted to hear this news. I asked last week how his health was and if up for another crack at visiting Cleethorpes and was told not well and having tests but didn't think it would lead to this. It was only two or three months ago that I got some promo CDs off Kell of some new material and How he'd set up his own label and publishing company and looking forward to the future and making music again. If interested you can read his story in an article I wrote..... https://www.soul-source.co.uk/articles/soul-articles/you-cant-outsmart-a-woman-the-kell-osbor-r1954 Or on my site which might be slightly more up to date https://www.soulunderground.co.uk/styled-4/ One of my favourite singers...... R.I.P Kell.
  16. Dave, you've certainly lost me here?
  17. can't remember that long since I filed a dispute, through paypal I think, open a dispute. If only recently mailed him then give a bit of time.
  18. I've just asked the seller what he means by remastered, wonder what he will say?
  19. I take it you've filed a complaint with paypal? If not I would and report this to ebay with item numbers to both sales.
  20. I will be at Skeggy Carms for the Saturday all-nighter.
  21. Yeah your talking a fair bit of cash, rarely comes up for sale.
  22. Thanks Carms. Make sure you subscribe to the Stafford Story as well
  23. They are the same group but "Emory" had left the group, hence the "Four Dynamics". They recorded under both names on the label.
  24. Thanks John. If any DJ wants a podcast hosting alongside Andy's and the others then shout up.
