This Needs To Be Preserved As A National Treasure,
says in the comments that his mum filmed it and his dad was in the dance comp. Nice bit of footage.

This Needs To Be Preserved As A National Treasure,
be nice if they get the film converted properly and cut the modern day bit from it

that's why we use the word "known"

without checking think most of the JD's been though are from different sellers? There e was 11 in the West Coast find JM involved with... post 47 think John Pugh says there are 16 copies of JD - NB on popsike and cause of the price I doubt popsike missed many if any sales so that still makes it around 30 or so known copies. How many copies does there have to be to constitute rare.

I didn't say you did, you said it isn't that rare anymore. The fact is it is still a rare record. There are records more common than this that fetch more yet I don't see the same comments applied to those.

Harringtons And Sexy Rexy Of Sheffield
There was a shop for clobber down I think Chapel Walk but can't remember the name. There was a record shop down there too, I've load of records up stairs from there, some of me dads too, all the old style brown card with coloured edging.

Exactly Kev, them 6 or 7 or whatever number were out there before the internet. Back then you had probably three ways to find a record, lists, go to a venue or go to the states. Now the internet has done away with all those options and opened up the market wide world. As for jackie Day, how many copies would say known...30 to 50? still a very rare record by anybody's standard. If another 100 turned up it would still be a rare record and all those crying not a rare record I bet they wouldn't mind a copy, if only to sell for a grand.

Detroit Prophets - Suspicion
why not just post the link to the topic where Rod has corrected you once already and posted the correct information (the link George has posted on your behalf I guess). You got all those facts from the scan that Andy Rix posted I guess, the scan of the disc that says it was the Originals. There are no original studio discs of this by the Detroit Prophets, just bootlegs of the Originals acetate.

Limitations
I have some of those labels, Gilly gave them me along with some Washpan ones, came from Popcorn I think.

Exactly Kev, John might get a copy after a bit of keyboard work but it will no doubt be one of those already in circulation not another newly discovered copy. It isn't a common record, it is still a rare record.

Price Please
Specials dunno....£200/£250??? Bit of interest in this one of late, few asked me about it.
-
Price Please
I stopped bidding on them eventually, wasn't prepared to pay more than $150. He didn't even wait till he shipped one before relisting another. I doubt I have the last one in my ebay watch but I'll have a look and see if there's a date.
-
Price Please
more recent than that Pete, I bid on some a few months ago, all from the same seller who had a box load, dunno how many. Don't think they were fetching $250/$300 at the time.

Goldmine -Cd
I've seen the very first goldmine which I have go for a three figure sum and one or two other close to that as well. I have man Kent but I wouldn't sell them as they have good booklets full of info. Might look to get rid of the goldmine though, maybe as job lot?
-
Goldmine -Cd
I've seen many of the goldmine cds fetch a decent amount, especially the early ones. I've most of the first 120 or so, wonder what they would fetch? never play then and besides all on iPod/mac. Dunno if I've got that one though.

You shouldn't keep brag about what you've got cause there's always someone better with better round the corner, and does having expensive originals make you better than others? Not in my book, I'd sooner see a collection thats taken imagination not a cheque book. And what has the venues you've attended got to do with experience and/or knowledge? F*ck all.

Blinkin Heck
Dunno what the problem is but take it off line please. Giant, I asked you before is there any need for the type of posts you've posted on this topic, three and they've all been antagonistic. You got the reaction from Geeselad because of you original posts to MrsWoodsrules, what do you expect? Give it a rest please.
