  1. others are... Les Chansonnettes = $1631.24 Epsilons = $253.26 Jimmy Armstrong = $262.01 Leroy Taylor = $249.39 Lin da & Vistas = $242.75
  2. someone not quite so clued up could get shafted though if they wanted the record and just went ahead and paid. For what it is worth the record is indemand again and getting harder to come by, I'd be surprised if you got one for three times less than the Gemm seller. If I was Matt I'd get the one Flanny selling for a decent price IMO. Used to be a cheapie but price is only going up on this.
  3. and with the seller having an overall performance rating of 4.4 out of ten and a customer satisfaction rating of 90% would you buy from him?
  4. someone else asked does it use the backing track of The Fantastic Four's 'Girl have Pity'? I'll have to dig it out and have another listen.
  5. I asked the same question on Soulful Detroit. I assumed they were simply Detroit backing musicians but would have been nice to find out who exactly. Anyway here is an email on SD from Ron Murphy from Feb 3 2006. "I have the original half inch 4 track master of the Robbie Dee side on Shotgun, Robbie Dee was a DJ on Detroit's WCHB, he came to Detroit from Pittsburgh and became the first white DJ on the station. He used to vist the studio I was working for at that time and this was the spring of 1966, Telma Hopkins and Robbie got married for what I heard lasted about a month, the female voice on the record is Telma and I think it's just her and him. the record was basically used as Robbie's closing theme song every night (he was on 7 to midnite) the multi track tape it's on has other Golden World unreleased recordings, I do know I got the tape years later from one of 3 studios but not from Artie's studio, but right now I can't recall which one. As pointed out here it's very interesting that the only issue on the label is numbered 203 which is the same number nothing appears on Groove City and I believe the timing of the Shotgun records falls very close to where a Groove City release would have been. My guess is maybe Don Davis pressed the record for Robbie in exchange for Robbie playing Groove City Records using the next number for Groove City, for the other side I'll have to play that side and see if I can match it to any of the dozens of unfinished GW tracks that I have."
  6. Is the Garnett Mimms the live take? Best one on the US lp or French(?) 45.

Gonna move to Look At Your Box, might get more attention there Bob.
  8. can you simply edit your original post to inform everyone that the record is sold. It really does get on the nerves of some to open a topic only to see sold, updated, reduced etc. Thanks Chalky
  9. You can't I believe until your status becomes mint, you're mint minus. So you'll have to go and make some posts on the forums....no bumps in sales though, just one post per day per topic in sales.
  10. Again according to Soul Harmony Singles (which is often wrong) Marcus Edward "Killer" Cray and Howard Kenney replaced Grant and Coleman sometime after Win Or Lose for Atco 222.
  11. from Soul Harmony singles Dave.... Marcus Edward "Killer" Cray and Howard Howard Kenney, both later of the Persuaders, Michael David, Frank Joiner.
  12. I was just about to mention the Artie Fields Detroit connection Richard. The record came on my iPod today and got wondering who they were. If Detroit session musicians which is the likely anser then maybe Motown staff musicians (Funk Brothers) involved? Whoever can only assume they were moonlighting?
  13. Hi Rick, Definitely at Thorne, she bought a record off me I suppose time is catching up with us all, some more so than others
  14. Great Lady as you say Rick. One of the unsung hero's, sorry heroine of the Rare Soul Scene. She has been out and about recently.
  15. I Need Help on Shotgun. One of my fave instrumentals. Anyone know who they were? Written by George Soul, Produced By Carl Spelbring.
  16. If Roger Banks is at Lifeline I'll hopefully get a copy tomorrow night.

no worries, if unsure just Pm one of the mod team we are only too happy to help and point in right direction. There are also "pinned" topics at the top of most forums to help and aid users as well as house rules and terms of use links bottom right of each page.
  18. But what have these got to do with forgotten Wigan oldies? These are all nailed on Northern Soul classics and most if not all played every week.
  19. I haven't read Steve's post after you, I logged off, work to do and I haven't been publicly discourteous either, if you have a problem then please report the post as no wish to go down that path on here. All I asked was to keep to the topic in question, your post had no relevance to the topic at all with both records two of the most popular oldies you could mention. Like a said if you wish to take any further, then please press the report button and don't drag the topic down. Thanks
  20. Regardless whether or not Bunny got many plays after 76 it along with The Artisitics is hardly forgotten are they, far from it, they must be two of the most popular oldies about, played at most oldies venues week inn week out. Please stick to the topic of forgotten tracks please and not your obvious oldies/wigan spins!
  21. Seeign as you are ducking under the parapet and was expecting this I'll oblige Played a good few years before Gary by Pat Brady. Was a big big record back in the mid 80's and still a good record and no surprise it fetched what it did, still packs the dancefloors.
  22. Chalky replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
Was a big in-demand record a few years ago and was fetching more like £400 but demand not there and price half or less than what it was I'd have thought.
  23. Plenty of these forgotten for a reason and best left forgotten Many still get plenty of spins.

You have already asked for this in wants section so no real need in here as well unless you have something to offer in exchange other than cash. Please stick to wants section only if simply after a cash buy. Can you please also offer a little more info as well in the topic title, like the record you are after, not simply record. Thanks Chalky

Draw round your label, right click and select free transform, drag edges till matches label, Crop the label using copy and cut, open new and paste the cropped label, apply your drop shadow.
