Cheers pal, if I've still got it i'll try and scan the article.
  5. I basically agree but still think there is a place on today's scene for records like this. Crying shame when too many prefer to listen and discuss some of the retro crap that is released these days and some of the second rate funky stuff and records such as this are ignored.

That wasn't my point and think you know it, just saying that not everyone is long standing members like us. Not everyone uses the search facility either. Anyway back on topic , does anyone know which issue of Voices the article mentioned earlier is in?
  7. I remember playing this out a couple of years ago, didn't exactly clear the floor but didn't go down too well
  8. Do you not mean post three Tony? If so then that's two of you for specsavers

nobody forces you, with your arm up your back to read these topics Brett. Not everyone has been on this site since the first crossover topic was discussed or indeed as it would appear the last one. I posted links to previous topics but you replied a couple of times since therefore keeping the topic alive.
  10. All good stuff Ratso, some great info about how things were back then Look forward to the website

you know what it's like with time on your hands Nev. I didn't want to mention the clue
  12. Current going rate for this please?
  13. If they are daft enough to pay take their money

the downloads keep stopping after a few MB
  15. I actually think Jerry Ganey is the one lacking in soul, sounds too much like a Righteous brothers record as well.

no problem, will give it a listen on Monday. As I drive a lot always looking out for quality pod-casts, across the board and not simply Northern Soul. What is the download link on the page? It's all in German
  17. You used to be able to buy Dottie and Millie for a few quid, used to be 100's kicking about, every sales box, some major dealers had quantity. Despite being overplayed having been hammered for years it is a good banker for the dancefloor, especially if struggling so the price will always remain higher than it is probably actually worth. Was around £300 at one time, never in a million years is it £300 rare.

Reckon most of us are, some not even using the same hymn book never mind hymn sheet reading some of the replies.
  19. Chris Morgan by a country mile, Jerry takes to long to get going IMO.
  20. Agree with you Azza I don't see too much of that either. If it does happen it's usually local p-ss heads looking for a late drink and more often than not they are put in their place. All the younger ones into the music behave as good as or if not better than many who have been about years.

https://support.apple.com/kb/TA23478 https://www.apple.com/uk/itunes/podcasts/specs.html apparently your radio station does have an iTunes subscription. Look for radio industrie in pod casts in the Itunes store.
  22. sound file for refosoul anyone?
  23. Hi Paul, thanks for the reply. Good to see and refreshing for a city centre venue. Many don't work for obvious reasons. And judging by the selection you mention some great music played. Like I said if you get down to Lifeline introduce yourself and have a chat. Think Mark (Wignaer1) said it that there isn't the opportunities for a lot of older people too with great collections so it is not just you young uns suffering. Like I said your time will come though.

Hi Henning, is this podcast/show available via iTunes?
  25. I was referring to events and the dj's at them. All have a mixture of residents and guests who can and do cater for all tastes. It has always been tough to get on the ladder, particularly all-nighters, I couldn't et to DJ at all-nighters in the 80's/90's but I was DJing at soul nights all over the place every weekend. Reckon you all just have to keep doing what you do, show you can do it, put yourselves about and your time will come. Promoters will take notice sooner or later.
