  1. Spot on...oh you missed out Divs. Like you say nothing to do with the scene and simply make a mockery of the records they are trying to cover.
  2. I wouldn’t open the curtains if one was playing on the back garden. I’ve seen one who were support for a live act at Radcliffe, may have been The Signatures, they were terrible.
  3. Drumstick is the stamp for The artisan mastering house/studio.
  4. Fantastic package. Top quality.

  9. Tis Jerry Cook. Two sided acetate.
  10. Previous topic…there was 63 acetates and I’m sure it was 89
  11. It was 89 first Yarmouth time, maybe 90 but no later. Pretty sure it went to Gary. He had it and sold it to Richard. There are a couple of early 70s takes. Half a dozen or so takes in all. The BHMOM is just on that acetate and I’ve never heard it sung in any take.
  12. There are tow takes of this one if I remember rightly, slightly different openings, this is the one on Robb’s tapes.
  13. I think? This is the one from the above acetate
  14. 1989 around the time of the first Yarmouth weekender If you listen to the one on my website, Dave Withers section, that is the one that first came over on Robb’s tape. The acetate you have pictured is a different vocalist and faster
  15. Yes it is. Richard S owns it now. It came in that batch of 60 odd acetates end of the 80s I think.
  16. Can Allan Coney behave himself long enough to DJ for an hour? 🤣
  17. They came from tapes @Robbk sent over to Rod Shard at the beginning of the 80s. Recording eventually leaked out and cuts done, this will no doubt be one. Prophets is what the originals was covered up as.

  19. A mix of Northern and 60s soul, old, new and forthcoming
  20. Looks like my Holidays cover up from Lifeline will be getting a dusting off....
  21. You should pick one up easily enough but not the same take as Butch's as his is an acetate with male backing. No male backing on the releases.
  22. So looking forward to playing out at my favourite night out....even though I should be retired 🤣 My shifts at work have kept me away most of this year so we better make it a good un. Great to be alongside my good mates Andy and Al as well. Been some time since myself and Andy were on the same lineup.
  23. This week Dean is joined buy Italy's Funk Investigator Alberto Zanini and Andy Tats Taylor, two hours of superb music and banter.
  24. Excellent release for a paper worthy cause, hats off to all concerned.
  25. All sorted then, decent topic. Glad my ears didn't deceive cause having listened again at home, despite knowing the answer, I still can hear the slight difference in then voices. When you look ate the credits though, Jones and Hayes etc across the discs it makes sense.
