I've just read them too Joan, certainly got a problem with clubs in his particular area. He hasn't made on positive post on this site, simply slagged off all the clubs in North Manchester/Bury/Bolton area and promoters, Dj's and even doormen. Bloody hell I bet his granddaughter looks forward to him looking after her

heywood Civic Motown and Club Soul Night, it's in his profile, Tom his name. Why should any promoter support another promoters night when that promoter won't support in this case the Radcliffe allnighter? I wouldn't have let him put the flyers on the table (where everyone else puts them btw). Brave man to call Chris, Andy & Kev a bunch of t*ssers.
  3. Does anyone kn ow where you can get reel transferred to disc/cd?

and the promoter should cover his costs before the night, not simply say I can't afford to pay you as we had a bad night. If the DJ refuses to take any payment or take a bit less then that is different but either way the DJ should be paid or at least offered his payment.

  9. thought it was Gilly who did the liner notes (to the first of three anyway). Know Tats was with Gilly in Detroit when they went to dave Hamilton's.
  10. The copy's I've seen in the flesh don't have anything scribbled out. Without a closer look, the scans on here look like the same copy.
  11. Hi Andy, great work as usual. Alas don't own a copy, got scans of one that was on t'ebay. There is the re-issue/boot that came out few years ago, maybe get one of those with some decent scans off one of the owners of a real one and send her a copy?
  12. ideally, maybe you should be allowed just the one posting in a sales topic, after initial posting it is locked automatically, only thing you can do is edit your initial post? that would stop the bumping and everyone would be equal. Personally don't think bumping improves the sales, those interested in buying will look at all the posts. Maybe an automatic delete of the topic after a month or two??? I would also ban sellers form listing three records in three separate topics, put them all in one. Doesn't matter how big the record it will still get viewed. PS. oops just seen Simsy's post! I would only allow a genuine question, condition etc, The "pm'ed you" and "pm'ed you back" posts are the most pointless of the lot
  13. Three more out of the box The Malibus - I Just Can't Stand It -Duke JJ Daniels - Mr Lonesome - Sureshot Benny Latimore - I've Got News For You - Dade
  14. I would agree with that, it is in the sales or wants and we all know which section is which so no need really to say sales or wants. Sales can be bit problematic if there is a long list though, not practical to list lots of tracks in the topic header or topic description.
  15. Yes it does help, I was going to say something couple of weeks ago. I've also noticed some mention the records wanting value in the topic description and not in the actually post bit, if viewing on an iphone you can't see the topic description one so many times don't even know what the record(s) is what you want valuing.
  16. Tell us more Tony. I know the unissued Every Lie You Tell, same one?
  17. it comes with knocking about with Nick I'm afraid Kim not far off what I reckon it is worth then, and I remember it now, remember the wheeling and dealing at Cleggy. Tell the tw*t to answer his phone too
  18. If it's not worth in the region of £700 what is it worth? It rarely comes up for sale, far less than other big ticket items. The last one I actually saw sold for pounds in the flesh so to speak, not via an auction, in decent nick was for I think £700 or close to. I don't think I've seen one on JM's auction either, certainly not up to his site being revamped and the end prices stopped getting posted on here. If I had one I don't think I'd be letting it go for £400.
  19. Two more Syl Johnson tracks, Try Me and Same Kinda Thing
  20. I actually prefer t'other side, Missing You.
  21. Can we have some examples of the boots and maybe some info on the label itself, history, owners etc etc. The more info in these topics the better.
  22. What a pointless post, we all bought records far cheaper years ago And as for constellations it was more like 20 years ago and it was more than £2 back then. The whole point of the topic is what can you buy cheap TODAY.
  23. Little Milton - Sometimey - Checker Soul Brothers Six - Check Yourself - Atlantic Magictones - Happy Days - Westbound
