the edit has been edited, there's over 30 seconds missing. The "full" edit is on its way........ The full version is basically the full track, 2 min 33 secs then the track runs backwards, giving you over 5 minutes. I have the full version too but will the upload take 41mb?

I use Timmion Phil, https://www.timmion.com/cutting they are metal acetates, better sound quality than vinyl carvers too. Think they are about 28 euros for two sides which includes postage. You send them a wav file via yousendit and they send the dubplate back within a week (usually).

it all depends what you are doing with them Pete doesn't it. Using them under the pretence you were there or simply collecting. There are 1000's that simply collect medals, there is a couple of stalls on Chesterfield Market on a Thursday that sells stuff like that. I do agree you shouldn't buy the badges, medal, whatever then walk around with them but why can't you collect them? People collect many things to do with the northern soul scene, not just records. Will the soul police fine all the soulies with Wigan badges that weren't there?

try asking on web forums. Plenty of stuff, even records that turn out to be common that aren't documented in the usual places. Do you have any examples of the stuff you want to price?

I bought the Dealers for £30 I think, knew it was a sleeper and had the right ingredients. The dealer I bought it off put his next one up at £75!!

I agree with you Pete, sheep mentality. Ringleaders must be about in greater quantity than the dealers yet commands £250 every time just because it fills the floor. Who's playing this to make the price go up? I've been spinning it for a couple of years or so but I wouldn't think I have that effect on prices, probably the opposite

I wouldn't pay £150 for this, worth half that. As good a record that it is Dj's should be looking for something that hasn't been so over played the last 25 years....no imagination some ;-)

The vocals do sound close to Ruffin but if you listen side by side there you can hear the difference.

Kell Osborne drafted in '63 (if memory serves me correctly). What he did/saw I don't know. Think at the time he'd just signed with Capitol and being drafted put paid to his time with a major label. I'll try and get more details when I speak to him as I've a couple of other questions for him I need answering.

Thanks for the info. I actually prefer the Four Reputations on Millage (same group), one of my all time faves, but this is almost as good. Rate the record at more than £50 and it's not an easy one to find these days. It will have its day again.

Got one here. Its vg+/ex, see the scan, plays great, few light marks, nothing serious. £40. Great record. If you slow it down a touch it sounds almost like the Millage release.
