  2. Can't believe no one has not mentioned The Temptations - Come On Back To Me Baby (aka Forever In My Heart)......or have I missed the mention? Fab dancer.

no they are mid tempo, same as June Jackson, too quick for a ballad IMO. Would you call a ballad mid tempo? I wouldn't. Beat Ballad to me is exactly what it says, a ballad with a beat bu slower tha mid tempo. Many of those listed are not what I would call a beat ballad, simply mid tempo.
  4. No it ain't that bad. The playing of "new" records several times has always gone on hasn't it? even when it was easier to "break" a record to the scene.
  5. Here's the photo Boba posted of the group....
  6. agree, tell us whether or not he does the decent thing and then we can all avoid him!
  7. Andy Dyson has one. You can e-mail him at Dysonsoul@aol.com
  8. Kenny Burrelll has a take as well, Peggy Byres or summat like. It's a very diferent take if I remember rightly but I've not heard it for some time.

only the one that i know of, but dunno whether it would fetch much more in an aution with the demo being pretty scarce too.

Was told by a very reliable person that it ain't Sharon Redd.
  14. Thank god for that, beginning to think it was just me
  15. Hi Dave, good to see you at Radcliffe. Hope you can make Lifeline, if so let us know
  16. I know I've had litle sleep the last two days but am I missing summat? I can see Hollispmonroe posted the topic but I don't see any reference to the mothers name

. a ballad but with a beat and slower than mid-tempo IMO. Many of those listed are what I'd class mid-tempo. George Freeman - Down and Out and Bobby Bennett - Alone With My Tears two of the best IMO.
  19. Like Gareth says it's meant to be heard out and loud. Top drawer Northern dancer IMO but there are far better records on ebay and cheaper.
  20. didn't realise I had a scan on the PC from an old ebay listing.....
  21. anyone got the results from this week. What did Bernie Moore on Lark go for?
  22. good record Nev but not much of a dancer is it? Thats why I said Northern Fraternity. Don't think I've heard it out since Andy played it.
  23. If You Try was the title Andy palyed it under. Cheers for confirming the label Steve, couldn't remember for sure.
  24. Richard Stoute has been released before this, seen it and heard it at Andy Dysons. Could've been Trex but not 100%. Tis a rare one too but not sure of a price as it ain't about much and didn't think there was much demand, not from the northern fraternity anyway.
  25. Mine had Albequerque on it, listened to it once thought it wasn't very good, listened again a few years later before I sold it and still didn't like it then. Wasn't aware of the other flip and never bothered checking other copies, even when someone offered me a demo for my issue as he thought it looked better on an issue. Anyone got a soundfile of the other flip? I actually said to someone at Cleethorpes after reading your article about Jesse that you had the wrong flip and that it was Albequerque
