Yours is vinyl with a moulded label. The boot was on vinyl and a white demo. Original has the delta number 59636 in the run out groove. Try and "flex" styrne and it will more than likely break.
  3. thankfully its unreleased and IMHO it's terrible...she murders Tommy Ridgely's version
  4. probably, if not could be Luv'H.
  5. the look alike boot if I remember rightly has Taking My Mind Off Love on the flip which actually came out on Whip. I'll Get Off At the Next Stop is the flip to the Fee release.
  6. My mother went into HMV for a cd, and they wanted £8 just to try and get a cd that wasn't in stock. She would lose the £8 if they couldn't find one. I told her to tell them to b*llocks. I found brand new one in the states and it was cheaper with postage than HMV! They deserve all they get the high street stores. I read an article other week that vinyl sales are at their highest for years....could they make a comeback? I buy all mine online or at a venue.
  7. It's not just down to mp3's though the decline in shop cd sales though Pete, many cd are now bought on line as they are often cheaper and you don't have to get out of the chair to buy them
  8. blue is the second issue after red, can't recall ever seeing yellow text issue see the blue text for £30/£40 red for around £60.
  9. I've been playing the Oliver Norman for sometime now and one or two on here picked it up since. Does appear on ebay but price slowly crreping up, last one I saw nearly $150 and there's been another since but don't know what it went for. Fab record
  10. Marvelettes - Your Cheating Ways

Vernon Garrett - Angel Doll - Venture
  13. I always record to wav and for saving convert to an mp3 of 224kbps, thats a compression rate of 6:1 I think off top of me head When posting on places like here I convert to mp3 pro with a bit rate of 40kbps.

doesn't even show all the auctions either. e-bay (and therefore popsike) not really a very good reflection of the actual price IMHO.

£30 kin ell pretty certain they cost £30 back in the 80's from Rob Marriott. Think they only did 300, maybe less I got two copies at the time, one for myself and one for John Kingan. There's an awesome version by Vernon Garrett that both Andy Dyson and myself have given plenty of turntable action too in recent times. Pretty cheap too
  16. I forget the exact compression rate but it's something like 14:1 (may even be 17:1) before any audible loss of quality. That will still give you a decent size mp3 for listening pleasure on any media, home or car. I doubt very much you can notice little if any loss in quality at an mp3 with a bit rate of 128kbps, thats decent enough for most car mp3 cd's.

I've still got some flyers somewhere I think, will find and scan.
  18. Kae is Kae's sons name as well I think Junior, the record label named after him. Oops.... just read Steve G's post who confirmed my belief
  19. not many probably not but listed it for Andy other month great record though
  20. me too...although I feel as though I'm in my fifties some times
  21. (I Found Me A) Real Man maybe. Her Unsatisfied Woman is good too but none IMHO come close to My Mind Holds On To yesterday. Just checked with a pla and he reckons around £250 so if you see one at a ton grab it!!!!!
  22. I would say it would be at least that in pounds not just dollars. There's one on popsike from 2004 at $361, there's been quite a few more since then though on ebay for a lot more. I've seen this sell for £400 last couple years and sold on average for around £250. Not seen one listed or in a box for few months though. Fantastic 70's dancer!!!!
  23. he hasn't....sorry chaps.

Let me see if I can remember and get this right...... The Volcanos version on Soulclub isn't the take covered as the Volcanos...the Jesse James on Soulclub is the one if I remember rightly that was covered as The Volcanos by Butch. The one thats on there as the Volcanos is the version Kenny has....I think

Cliff Nobles "Love is alright" is the same record as the Jesse James (Volcanos) only finished as Jesse James wanted it done.
