  2. no never booted. See it listed for around what JM has it for. Might get it cheaper off ebay?
  3. Really sad shocking news news Knew Lesley and Martin well back then but not seen then for some time, we all hung around together back then, went to the same venues, parties etc and as a resident at the Travellers I DJ'ed along side Lesley. My thoughts are with Martin and Lewis at this sad time

Yes it was Dave. Original should have Nashville Matrix stamp.
  5. Anyone got Garnett Mimms - Prove It To Me for sale?
  6. very hard, four figure sum I would hazard a guess at.
  7. it's only their ignorance that gives them the views they have I bet in reality they haven't a clue what NS is!
  8. Tis a good record Linda Old Guy spin. As already said you don't see an issue too often. Bill Horton ex lead of the Silhouettes.
  9. especially towards the end......great record IMHO. Like I said never gonna have the appeal of Rita but very good in it's own right.
  10. Rita and the Tiaras and fantastic Northern (even if it is hammered to death I still never tire of hearing it) but I also think Betty Willis is great too. Very different in it's own right to Rita even though the same record. I've played this out on and off for last couple of years. You should listen to all the record before making a judgement too. Betty Willis is an old Stafford spin for Guy.
  11. personally couldn't give a flying f*ck what others think about us and the scene.
  12. Mr Clean & The Soul Inc. Expensive and like you say not a patch on Marvin.
  13. not sure of licensing laws but didn't think kids allowed in a pub after a certain time so why should a soul night etc be any different. I remember a few years ago at Alfreton there was that many kids they became a nusiance, they banned them eventually. They should be at least 16 and with a responsible adult
  14. around £100 one on Jemm at $230.
  15. I agree with you JT....think kids should be encouraged on here and sites like it. At a venue thats a different matter, like you say still too much goes on you wouldn't want kids near. If they really do love the music then thbey will be there when they are old enough. But in respopnse to the original question there will never be enough young 'uns to keep this scene as a dance scene alive. As a collecting scene that will probably always be there.
