  1. trouble is not that many venues that don't play played out oldies very few that cater for the leser known side of the scene many playlists I see would make me think twice about some venues so tend not to take much notice of them. If you are about on a regular basis you tend to get to know the dj's on the scene and what they tend to play. Normally I can make my own judgement from a flyer as to what to expect regardless of what the promoters promise
  2. seeing records like that on a playlist, as good as they may be would put me off going to a venue unfortunately. Heard them a million times and no wish to hear them out anymore.
  3. Hmmmmm.....tough one this. First one definately never chnages, but the rest can change like the weather but here goes for now.... 1. Tommy Ridgely - My Love Gets Stronger - International City...simply awesome! 2. Mello Souls - We Can Make It - Mello..the epitome of Northern Soul, rare as hens teeth, uptempo manic black soul dancer. 3. Diane Lewis - You Ain't Got A Chance. Again what Northern Soul is all about to me, great dancer. 4. Billy Hambric - She Said Goodbye/I Found True Love - Drum. Two great sides, both classic Northern! 5. Jean Wells - With My Love And What You've Got - Calla. F*cking great dancer
  4. and here's me thinking it was already well known been about and played for years
  5. Seen it recently out in a box for £250. Personally wouldn't pay more than £250/£300 either, just demand hiking the price if it is any more, seems to be up for sale on a fairly regular basis and getting over played too IMO

Same record. Invincibles (on Ciray) has great flip though, labels usually reversed as well. Fros Ray has two different colour labels too.
  7. a mate had one of these a while back and he struggled to get £400 for the issue although personally think it's worth it.
  8. round about the £100 mark, have seen for bit more in the past and also a bit less
  9. seen in recent times for around the £250 mark

Didn't Jan Bradley record Back In Circulation on this label? Most of her work done in Chicago.
  11. I would prefer to hear The Group, Freddie Chavez and Tony Galla over all his choices
  12. I actually prefer the Precisions There's plenty but when there are thousands of quality soul records worthy of playing why play pop
  13. Sure it was a Stafford spin.
  14. is this good enough, if not will make a better one when get the chance.... Cobblestone Trick Me Treat Me.mp3
  15. yeah it did but was it E George Clements or just George Clements
  16. Golden Triangle came after Sounds of Soul (second release/re-issue). SOS came out twice one has girlie backing and different mix and distributed buy Cameo Parkway. £250/£300 for it on SOS but £400ish for the girlie backed release. Seen the Golden Triangle for anything from £125 to £250. Should be cheaper than SOS anyway.
  17. 4 quid seen between £20 and £40 in recent times Kenny. Great cheapie
  18. I was supoposed to do another But my organization is about as good as Dereks Maybe get it done for the issue after the next
  19. half dozen spins from the 80's seldom heard these days Leon Farrell - Pure Unadulterated Love - Nation Out Of Sights - My Womans Love - Saru Penny North - Thought I Had A Good Thing - Luau Soul Blenders - Tightrope - Knight Universals - Diamonds & Pearls - Cooking and one that's probably too fast for today Walter B & Untouchables - I Can't Stop Loving You - Apollo 9
  20. more like £30/£40 on most lists and I've played it out a fair bit recent months, along with the Phillie mentioned earlier, two great tracks
  21. heard the first two few times lately In fact heard quite a few of the mentions lately I want a Soulnotes if anyone has one, got to have Don't Make Me Beg on the flip tho'!

    the two Teddies
  24. as far as they both know it's the only "known" copy but like already mentioned you don't know what's out there. If the real artist was revealed every one and his dog would be looking for it, Mick should at least get some exclusivity out of it before, or even if at all, everyone gets to know what it is and maybe have the chance to turn other copies up.
