Tea Time Specials
That does look a good price for Sandra Phillips issue! Two for the price of one there with the other side just great soul too I think.

Are You A Paranoid D.j?
Truth is we haven't been Ian...of course not...too busy dancing (There you go Len...now how about "passing down" all those records you won't be "repeating" any more?! )

Are You A Paranoid D.j?
Hehe. Yes of course I'm kidding....No wait...seriously, turn them over next time!

Are You A Paranoid D.j?
Your paranoia is good fun for us Len..don't fight it! Lol Next time you're on in ya Den, turn the DJ times sheets over (which you may have spotted are neatly placed on each table in the room before you arrive)... I think you'll find a few of us have been playing soul bingo for quite a while now mate.

Why, Why Oh Why?
Now if they still ran ads like this, such pointless loss just wouldn't need to happen...

Why, Why Oh Why?
..and the others, yes I know..NOW. Just tired mate

Why, Why Oh Why?
I don't know if anyone watched it right through but wasn't expecting that ending! Is it the new Green Cross Code ad for youth of today? If so, I think I prefer the ones from 70's.

Dancefloors?
Sure does, and as you can see from the clip, still possible to spin too Did anyone else used to fancy Jenny Logan?! Back to the thread topic...I actually dance more if it's a smaller floor, if that makes sense?...and even better if there's a quieter corner in the room to just lose yourself for a couple hours when you fancy it. Did that at Soul Essence a few weeks ago (smallest dance floor of any soul event I think?) and enjoyed that more than the massive floors of say Brid or Stoke. Down to how you feel on any night I guess and what music is moving you at that time. It is great to see a huge packed floor a couple times a year mind you

Justin - Right Now (Solde)
Hi, I have lovely VG++ condition UK copy of Justin (like this one, some UK copies on Buffalo were mis-printed "Justine") - Right now / The place where sorry hides. Lovely condition label and thankfully no one has tried to rub the "e" off the name. SOLDe £75 ONO....or a swap / trade with the US issue on Down East with "What can I do" on the other side please Thanks, Steve

Trumains / Vince Dena (Barbara Lynn & Mike Kirkland Sold)
Soulsource gradings used. You Tube clips not of actual records. Please PM me for Paypal details & post etc. Full refund if not happy. Thanks for looking, Steve Vince Dena - Love Can't be modernized. Sundi. Demo. VG++ £130. Decent affordable alternative to Trips / New Group etc. Went for silly money on a well known auction in 2008 but this is more realistic price I think! Trumains - Ripe for the Pickin'. RCA demo. VG+ £100 Couple light scuffs, some you can hear but nothing major. Good clean labels too. Barbara Lynn - Trying to love two. Ichiban. VG+ £50 SOLD, Thanks. Some very light marks and lines which look like pressing fault rather than bad handling. Can hear a few light marks but sounds fine on my system. Mike James Kirkland - Give it to me / Love is. Bryan (9003). VG+ £30 SOLD, Thanks. Tiny mark half way through "Give it to me" side where you can here two clicks, but otherwise a lovely clean copy of this great double sider.

Fluorescent Smogg Re-Issue ?
Yes...according to a guy at Jazzman records I had an email from, they all are due to cock up at the plant. Doh! Brilliant quality sound on them though I think.

Half Dozen Deeper And Slower Sides
A few deeper and slower sides for a change (most of which are actually decent both sides)...Please PM me if anything of interest. I use Soul Source record gradings and please note that any you tube clips I could find are not of actual records. Paypal (family / friend if poss). Please add £1 for std post or £2.50 Recorded. Thanks, Steve Kip Anderson - Here I am try me / I get carried away. Tomorrow demo. "X" on label. Looks M- but I can hear some light crackles here n there, so conservative VG+ and £30. Both sides pretty good actually. Lorenzo Manley - To prove my love / Swoop down on you. Original Sound. M- £25. Watts Line - I never meant to love you / Never stop lovin' me. Bullet. VG+ £5 Sorry but can't find clips for these and not able to upload sound files at the mo..... Oscar Perry - Mother! Can your child come home / He sent me you. Mercury demo. VG++ £30. Both sides great. Joe King - What's wrong / Speak on up. Prix. M- £30. Speak on up a pretty decent crossover sound. Roscoe Shelton - You're living too fast / Who walks in when I walk out. Sound Stage 7. Strong VG+ £15 Thanks for looking.

David Washington Games b/w Ready For Your Love
Looking forward to getting one of these. Both sides played at Yarmouth the other week. Was good to dance to the A side in one room early in the morning, then sit and soak up the B side in the other room the next afternoon! So remind me again how us mere mortals get our mitts on these before official release dates?!

Jock's View Of Soul
Very interesting read that, thanks. A real insight into what was going on when I was just a kid but lots I can relate to now. The next Manifesto will I think be a little less interesting, but I do still love that too all the same.

Village Choir "talk To Me Sometimes" Dcm
Wow. Just listened to this for first time and love it, thanks. Hope the order I've just placed at what looks to be very reasonable price works out okay. Mr Goucher played their "Sweet hot lips" 45 out at our local event this Saturday just gone and that went down very well. Bit harder that one by the look of it! Just great. Thanks, Steve.

Some Rare 70's / 80's / Modern / Crossover 45's
I'm surprised the THE TOM EMMANUEL & RON EXPERIENCE hasn't sold at that low price. Great record imho

The Mob
Interesting that. Thanks. I think that "I dig everything about you" and "love has got a hold on me", also "I'd like to see more of you" are just great feel good recordings.

Just Gotta Post It
I think you're right!...How fashion (and hair!) change hey

Just Gotta Post It
Brilliant vid and sound. Thanks for that. I still love the "A" side too ("You got the love I need"). 1971 was a good year https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7PUgYASz7Q

Linda Jones - Marmite Soul?
Having only recently acquired Linda's " Hypnotized" LP on Loma, I have to say it's barely been back in the sleeve since. Just amazing. (Thanks again BG if you read this). With that on one deck and the recently released Ty Karim LP delight from Ace/Kent on the other, I've lost a good few hours just listening and soaking in the soul from what must be two of the best female soul vocalists ever.

Got Ur Own Record Room?
Guessing some of you may have seen this Ikea ad: "Ikea Presents, Harry Love's Records. Make room for your life". It goes on a bit but I do think the finished article looks pretty impressive...Then again, I also think seeing records just all over a house looks just as good!

Got Ur Own Record Room?
Secret passage to mine but only works for me..like Narnia..takes me to a different place away from the day to day! Wife sometimes locks me in there by mistake as she doesn't know it exists! Actually I think she does know but I like to think its just my sanctuary, which it truly is when I need it. If only it were bigger.
