Bob, as mentioned above, it was Leroy Hutson that replaced Curtis wasn't it? Then Leroy left and Ralph Johnson and Reggie Torian joined for the First Impressions LP around '73 onwards? Did Reggie Torian record before he joined the Impressions?

A friend who was a London Mod in the mid 60's says the Eyes of Blue record was played on more than a few occasions by DJ Jeff Dexter at Tiles Club.

Yes, unquestionably one of the greatest voices in Soul Music. And the Dells were, in my humble opinion, the greatest vocal group in Soul Music history bar none, and that includes the Temptations, Four Tops, Impressions, Isleys etc.

Having a nice voice is one thing ... having a soulful voice to do justice to one of the great soul classics is another thing. Delta brings to Ain't No Mountain High Enough exactly what her fellow Aussie Jimmy Barnes brought to the song when he attempted it ... absolutely nothing. Jimmy Barnes is one export to Australia that many of us would have been glad for Scotland to keep all those years ago. Unfortunately we are stuck with Delta....

Begs the question ... would the brothers be willing to get back together on stage as the Four (Two) Perfections so to speak and perform I'm Not Strong Enough together with all those other great Mystro - Lyric tunes ?

It was released in the '68/9 period after Otis died, and, as the Northern Soul history books show, the Mirwood, Okeh, Ric Tic monsters were pouring on to the scene by then, so an easily available record like "Demonstration" probably was simply overlooked in the stampede.

Always thought Otis Redding's "Demonstration" was his best Northern dancer by a country mile, better even than "Loving By The Pound."

Roburt Think you may have been given incorrect information there. B T Express, Enchantment and Don Downing had releases on Australian labels like Scepter and Interfusion but there was never a dedicated Australian Roadshow label.

Never seen an original issue with both sides labelled Gold Of My Life.

It even made the lower reaches of the Billboard POP charts in 1976.
