Dana Valery - Red Columbia Stock Copy
I hope it is there. Just to know that there has been a positive sighting is excellent information. So many elusive records out there, makes you wonder just how many would be viable to be made as a batch. Unless many copies made then majority destroyed / recycled.

Dana Valery - Red Columbia Stock Copy
Hi Mick I don't recall EVER seeing a Stock Copy for COLUMBIA 4-44004. I would love to see the Red Stock Copy or discover the reason why it isn't there. When my copy arrived from Soul Bowl in the 70's it came with the most Packaging I ever had for any other record from there. So at the time it must have been hard to find / replace. The only copies on PopSike.com are DEMOs, I believe that there is also a White & Black DEMO. Two DEMO's & no Stock Copy ?. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I was Involved in a Similar thread regarding "Looking At Tomorrow", very similar story with 2 DEMOs & Elusive Stock copy. Then, once we had assumed that it didn't exist, one turned up on PopSike this year.

Chuck Wood Seven Days Too Long
That would be brilliant Mate, look forward to Information. Surprised that BIG T "Seven Days Too Long" isn't easy to sell Pete, we were ALL looking for records like this when I first started collecting. Must be a Nostalgia thing for me, as I quite like Label. It would be Interesting to reflect on just how many 60's records had actually been Discovered during the 60's. Mainly Via UK Labels. In comparision to today, only a small percentage of those 60's gems, that we now consider well known.

Chuck Wood Seven Days Too Long
Hi I'm not sure on current price, However it did have a couple of runs at the Pressing Plant on BIG T. Think it's probably similar Value though. NOT a Mega-Rarity, but Still Very Desirable on BIG T in my opinion, first label I owned it on. Really takes me back to the days before Imports became widespread in UK. The Record Collector 2008 has the BIG T Copy at £25, Mojo at £10 Pye Disco Demand £15 with Picture cover, £10 without. An awesome record. Issued a few times on Various Labels UK Including this one on Mojo, which kept to the same A & B Side to the BIG T copy & U.S.A. Roulette. I have the PYE Copy somewhere, Picture cover etc. Which brings me to a recent thread about FOOTSIE on a Pale Blue PYE Label. Irish Label "Seven Days Too Long" on the flip side. Scan Courtesy of Dawnie Click on Label for thread. Unusual Item, I haven't seen one before.

Wigan Oldies
One Reason Why History will repeat itself, one day. Records like this will never die. Unfortunately I don't own this, but what a record. Someone a lot younger than me will hear this for the first time and Wow! This Scene will continue beyond my years, I'm positive.

The Blue HBR is the Stock Copy. The Four Sharps on Cameo can be found for a few dollars on ebay, but not that often. I have seen a Red/Black Coloured Cameo DEMO.

Another Ebay Story
Trouble is; I think that ebay has tried to address the problem with Rogue Sellers. Completely forgetting in the process that Rogue buyers also exist. ebay should reconsider their rules, feedback etc. If not Could be all downhill from here in this "No Win No Fee" culture that we now live in. Shame. Hope that you get it sorted Mate, a worrying time for sellers on ebay at the moment.

Compass - James Bounty - Prove Yourself A Lady
As mentioned above it is the "H" Stamped copy that is the one to be careful with. We now have an Example of an Original "H" Stamped DEMO. Scan Courtesy of Alan (GIVEMESOUL) For Further Information Regarding the "H" Stamped Click On This Label Below This one is an Example of an Original "H" Stamped copy. The colours and credit layout is different to the Counterfeit Copy, also "H" Stamped.

James Bounty ,original Or Not,help Needed
Yes, looks 100% correct to me due to the colour etc. I didn't have a copy of this ("Original With the "H" Stamp") available to scan for Sharp End. It is the "H" Stamped DEMO that was counterfeited but the colour isn't quite right as can be seen from this scan compared to your Original Above. (The Star is in a Different Position too, Just Noticed) Thanks for Posting it.

"of Hopes Dreams And Tombstones" Any Issues Around?
Unfortunately I don't actually own a copy. These two on PopSike from a few years back. www.PopSike.com click on Label FEBRUARY 2005 $500 www.PopSike.com click on Label DECEMBER 2004 $721 Obviously from this DEMO www.PopSike.com click on Label ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not sure about the other release, possibly DEMO only looking at the Credits. Although the same number. Am I correct in thinking that It was distributed first as the Freebie below & then the Columbia release. www.PopSike.com click on Label

Frankie & Johnny White Demo
Not sure if I've seen a West Coast Stock Copy. Here's a good scan from PopSike.com click on Label It shows quite a lot of Deadwax Info.
-
Frankie & Johnny White Demo
Thanks for this scan Mate, Guessing this is the rarest U.S.A. format being West Coast. Not that any are easy I suppose, but still, West Coast are usually the most elusive.

Frankie & Johnny White Demo
Here's another from Popsike.com click on Label This one has a Star on the "(I'm) Never Gonna Leave You" Side. Reference PopSike.com Quote "It is an original release and has the following in the runout grooves 'Nashville' and then 'ZTSB110961-1A' and also 'F-927'." Here's the British, again from PopSike.com click on Label I really do need a Lottery Win, These look fantastic. Love the record, On my wants list when funds allow.

Frankie & Johnny White Demo
Hi Harry Unfortunately, I don't own a copy. Patti Austin - Didn't Say A Word
Sorry Mate, now you mention it, I can just about make it out. There's me doing my Columbo detective bit and the date is on the label, Doh! Still 1972 would make the Grey 1st Issue, Multicoloured probably has 1972 on credit, but would be a later press.
-
Patti Austin - Didn't Say A Word
Not sure when the colour changed for THE LORELEI Grey was 72/73 I think.
-
Patti Austin - Didn't Say A Word
Compared to the other Label Colours for Columbia, The Grey had a comparatively short run if I remember correctly. Just wondering if this would help to Approximate Year for this release. Thinking THE LORELEI - STOP & GEORGE CARROW - ANGEL BABY re-issue.

Just Thought I'd Share This With You
Hi Alan Yes from this Album Instant Favourite from the first time I heard it.

Fascinations
Amazing record, I just missed out on a DEMO a couple of years ago. Here's the Stock Copy. Slightly Different Title on the A Side to the DEMO.
-
Fascinations
Same as this DEMO, Both DEMO & Stock Copy from Soul Bowl. Different pressing Plants I would guess. Just Noticed 7714-A-1 on this Stock Copy Version.

Gordy Label
Hi Paul Thanks for Posting this one Mate, as I said earlier, It's gotta be it's rarest format. Definitely the First Time that I have seen one.
