Classic Club Sounds - What Are Your Top 5?
Just a few of a minefield of choice Barbara Lynn - Take Your Love and Run Jackie Day - Before it's Too Late Homer Banks - A Lot of Love Inez and Charlie Foxx - No Stranger to Love Robert Parker - Lets go baby (where the action is) + anything on the Capitol Soul Series 66 and such like. I think back in the day the choice of soul music supplied by the major (and minor) British labels was phenomenal to say the least. Regards

Soul-Sam At St Ives All-Nighter In The Mid 70S And Taped By Me
Am I hearing right, does he play Johnnie Moore (Eddie Garrigan) after Checkerboard Squares (@ 23mins) and then again after Blue Sharks (@ 43mins)? or have I missed a gap somewhere and it was two different sets? Regards

-
Fontella Bass - R.I.P
Very sad news indeed about such a loss, RIP and commiserations. Brilliant and very atmospheric record was Rescue Me (as too were her others). Lady reaffirmed Chicago meant business with Detroit, from which (IMO) the northern scene has benefited from greatly. Regards Bob

Little Eddie Taylor And Silohettes
I had a good time and not me baby were both booted in the 70's as I recall, but who booted them? They were on a light blue blank label (molded) however the scratches in the run out groove of the LET wer very similar to the original (was it the same for the Silohettes?) Regards

Duke Browner Boot At £110
To be fair, the first boot (deep purple label around 74) is perhaps rarer than the original Impact release and when its said and done "I thought you were mine" on ABC was not the first issue. Again are we talking rarity or first issue?

Soul Artists @ Uk All Nighters
