Drew, Know what you're saying, but the club was too important in some peoples lives to lose. Byrney, Yes, It is a Twisted Wheel Revival but that's what the people come in for - sounds from the 60's that they all know and danced to then and with over 200 in last Sunday - That's what they want. Not new sounds. If we made it like 'The late 80s nights at Whitworth street were also about new sounds (Butch etc) then it would become just another 'Northern Soul' night and they wouldn't know what was coming on next.

Because with Whitworth St being demolished, the Twisted Wheel club had to find a new home - just as it did when it moved from Brazenose St and it kept the same name. It moved to NQLive which was involved in the fatal fire and is now at Alter Ego. So really it is now Twisted Wheel but at Alter Ego and still playing the same Wheel back-catalogue tunes. Hence, It's still called 'The Twisted Wheel'

Hi Drew, I can only get the 2nd and last Sunday of the month. I can't get the last Friday of the month as it is already taken by another promoter - the only way it may be possible is when it's a 5 week month. So I may do some specials when I have a look at the calendar. Pete Roberts.

A BIG THANK YOU!!! To the tens of 1000's of people I have had the pleasure of meeting over the years at the Twisted Wheel Club!.. Yes sadly 6 Whitworth Street as gone!!! But Music and the great friendships that have been made at the Wheel will live on!! And I know you will still be joining us at THE TWISTED WHEEL CLUB at our New Address on Tib Street in the Northern Quarter, Manchester City Centre. I WASN'T GOING TO REPLY TO YOUR COMMENT BUT MAYBE YOUR RIGHT? WHO KNOWS WE COULD END UP WITH 100's OF TWISTED WHEEL CLUBS OR NIGHTS!!! NOW THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT. YOUR ALSO RIGHT THE TWISTED WHEEL CLUB DIED IN 1971, IT WAS THE ABADI BROTHERS WHO PULLED THE PLUG ON THE WHEEL THEMSELVES, AND NOT THE POLICE!!! ALL THE ABADI BROTHERS HAD LOST WAS THEIR ALL-NIGHTERS AND COULD OF CONTINUED WITH THE CLUB JUST DOING SOUL NIGHTS BUT THAT WASN'T VIABLE FOR THEM TO DO SO..... YOUR RIGHT THE WHEEL WAS GONE AND DIED IN 1971 TO MAKE WAY FOR A 70's DISCO. SO WHEN I WAS FREE TO REOPEN THE WHEEL IN 2000 , I DID!!! SO WHAT SHOULD I OF CALLED IT??.... WIGAN CASINO? THE TORCH, BLACKPOOL MECCA, OR THE CATACOMBS? THIS IS 6. WHITWORTH STREET.
