Soul Nights In Amsterdam?
Think that must be the "Amsterdam Soul Club" rugbysoulgirl. Usually on later in the month than when Paul76 is going next one is this Sat. Usually features a Motown/soul covers/tribute band and DJs playing the Dutch version of "northern/60s". Starts about 10 and goes on 'till around 4 in the morning. They have a "myspace" page if you need to check further. Venue is pretty central has a cheap bar and you can skin up if you want (smoking ban arrives in Holland this July ) Best thing about it for me is the archive films which are projected on 2 large screens during the night some great footage of lots of soul heroes. Apart from that I think theres a regular funk night but I don't have any details You may like to check www.fingerpoppinsoul.nl Paul76 there may be some info on there As Jason has said Rush Hour records will have all the info on more contemporary nights Waxwell records may be worth checking too. Also worth remembering that most clubs don't really get busy and lively 'til about midnight so its a good idea to pace yourself Hope this helps a little Cheers Paul
