Hi, thank you for the reply, record I was looking at was from the Uk, I've just never noticed the vat notice before. I'm aware of cost of sending to Spain and buying from abroad in general I have a mate who lives out there and has asked me never to post him anything just to wait till he comes back here which is frequently after his sister in law sent him a birthday present which cost him more to pick up from the post office than it did to buy.

Has this been covered before, is it me not being observant I just looked at a record on Discogs , I've never noticed it before but it says Vat fees will be added at checkout, is this something new. I checked invoice for earlier this week and there was no mention of Vat just the price of the two records and postage. Any views, ideas, solutions.

For anyone who watched the previous three starting next week on Sky Atlantic fourth series of the Italian series My Brilliant Friend. After watching the previous three I was moved to read the books, l usually like to do it the other way around but watching the series actually gave me more a sense of the Naples the books were set in.

Sounds like three of them are from the Bristol Crowds Tik Tok posts which could account for the brevity,only guessing mind

Blimey that's brought back the distant past.I had this when I was a naive 16 yr old, bought in a second hand shop , can't remember it exactly but it always intrigued me as it was from a fading memory a white label maybe a test pressing or something, I had little knowledge then and not much has changed. I used to really like it but was never sure where it stood regarding its relation to the soul I was buying at the time,always thought the guy had a great voice though.

Good to hear you are doing good Peter, I had little interaction with the NHS on the hospital side of things other than a couple of work related injuries and a near death experience which I was lucky to survive. That was until five or six years ago when I had a problem with my lungs which led onto an unrelated heart bypass. What I think some people don't realise is the sheer numbers of people the NHS deal with on a daily basis. I was totally taken by surprise by the number of people in the waiting area at the start of my heart investigations. Since that time I have nothing but praise for everyone I have encountered, ok waiting times can be a bind ,with two ongoing problems one couldn't be sorted without some kind of resolution on the other hence I was in the system for 18 months before eventually having my bypass. My lung problem is not going to go away which means regular checkups, the staff are always helpful with appointment times, the Dr I see is totally lovely, her secretary is always available on the end of the phone should i have any concerns, the staff I have seen for the tests I have to have are always friendly, patient and understanding. I do find it hard to hold my tongue when I hear people complaining and being rude to staff though these are in the minority. My one minor irritation about my hospital visit and this is purely personal and in no way a complaint, there are people whose conditions are far worse than mine, the Pulmonary unit for breath related problems is at the opposite end of the hospital to xray which involves a walk along what must be one of the longest hospital corridors in the country and then some. I echo your sentiments regarding all staff from the top of the tree to the bottom

Yes I get that, watching the last episode today after which I will look up the case and hopefully get some perspective on truth and fiction. Gripping as you say.

Binged watched the French crime series Sambre Anatomy of a Murder based on a true story about a serial rapist. My only downside being it says the series is meant to be a tribute to the victims and not factual. This led to discussions between myself and Lou at various points as to whether this or that actually happened as some instances of police incompetence and indifference were astounding. One scene in particular led to lengthy talk on surely someone in the station would have questioned or had second thoughts, if you watch the series I'm pretty sure you will recognise this scene in particular. That said excellent acting, gripping story line well worth a watch.

Someone on the comments says it is Stefan Taylor if you look on discogs there is a video of Stefan Taylor, same song clearly a different singer but... I'm not sure on this other's on here will have a better idea but is the older black guy who appears in the video Tommy hunt? It shows him a couple of times.

If you are interested in the history of Hungary and Budapest we found The House of Terror museum to be very good, frightening what people will do to their own citizens. You do though to get the best out of it have to spend time watching the various videos so if your time is short best to give it a miss and stick to the sights. Great pics by the way.

Just binge watched the second series of Colin from Accounts, on the iplayer kept up the standard set by the first series.

I think the hyperbole can have a reverse effect to the one seller intended when you come to realise every record they are selling "has plenty of legs left, under the radar, played by those in the know" etc then when you listen to the you tube link most to my untrained ears are pretty average at best. Are people taken in by it I'm not so sure, yes it might make you look and listen but if you're prepared to put aside what you are hearing and buy just because someone invokes a fear of missing out on the next big thing you probably shouldn't be buying records in the first place. My memory might be playing tricks on me and I may be wrong about this but there does seem to have been an increase of tunes being relisted as "reduced" due I guess to as you say over inflated prices on first posting, maybe the answer to your question lies there.

I can't answer your question but interestingly the TMG 498 was used on a mocked up Motown demo for sale last week on ebay which was also Brenda Holloway Before You Break My heart on one side Barbara McNair on the other. It had a solid centre but poorly photocopied to look like it had a four prong centre. Enough people were interested to take it to £40 with postage.

I've not seen as many Butterflies in the garden this year, not as many Bees on a bush that's usually full of them when in flower. The fields opposite my house have been the hunting ground for a Barn owl for the last few years. I'd see it almost every night flying back and forth, often settling on the fence directly opposite. Sadly the other night I saw it being harried by some kind of Hawk, they both dropped to the ground out of my eye line. Haven't seen it for about four nights which is unusual. Hopefully it's maybe been spooked by the encounter and lying low.

Bass Weejuns are another brand at the lower end of the market, I found a pair in TK Maxx for next to nothing, never seen them there since mind.

I had a similar conversation with my new neighbour about a year ago, they moved in at winter time, come summer I was playing some vinyl outside. My neighbour popped her head over the fence saying "I didn't know you were into this stuff, my dad died recently I gave all his albums away, if I'd known you could have had them". Story of my life.
