  4. Dave Rimmer is currently doing a timeline on all the past allniters when they started n finished, most successful periods ect. I gave him some info on Tony,s Blackburn I'm sure Dave would be a barrel of information on your project After Wigan. kind regards Mick L
  5. Good luck with your project, you will need i set of ensyclopedias to cover what happened after Wigan every promoter, every dj every soulie every venue every soulie would have a piece of the jigsaw to make the story the way they saw it after Wigan. Dig a little deeper beyond the usual suspects for stories you might be pleasantly surprised at what you discover otherwise you,ll end up with the same as.there are a good many unsung soul stalwarts male and female who helped to keep the scene going for the last 33 years some sadly are no longer with us but I'm sure their friends and family would love it if they got a little mention in your project.Again I wish you well with After Wigan Stoy. God Bless Mick L
  6. The Film was a damm good effort it did manage to catch the time1974 very well and you could relate too most of the characters a little bit of fiction which explained many facts. kind Regards Mick L

  10. I'm sorry to sound offensive but to some replies on here I can only say you should have got out a bit more.tattoes earrings, swearing were part of life along time before 1974 I myself was heavily tattoes and wore earrings and was into soul music in 1967 onwards along with lots of other Soulies you cannot pigeonhole and should not pigeonhole the soul scene it has too many facets for that. God Bless Mick Lyons
  11. A Really good effort. Mick L
  12. I Had the honour of meeting Jimmy 42 years ago when he was performing at the casino Wigan pre allniters he was a regular on the soul circuit at the time he was a gentleman besides being a top soul artist 16 years later I had the privilege of having supper with him after a performance at Scott's Wigan he was still the same God Bless you Jimmy I hope you get well. bless Mick Lyons

  15. I would say N Soul was born in 1964 I personally went to soul and mod venues aged 13 14 years of age and it was in full swing then and all through the mid and late 60's all the dance moves and feeling ect. Soul clubs everywhere.these years were impotant for what followed it 1964 when people like ourselves split from mainstream pop and rock and chose the alternative soul scene which we alll love for tht reason I would set the timeline at 1964 instead of 1971 sorry for those who weren,t there but believe me it did happen Big time. Kind regards Mick Lyons
