  1. No mine was normal.
  2. There's a 2 room soul night in Culcheth on that night that isn't to far away, if the Hindley night is cancelled.
  3. You could have been hiding behind the curtains with Alan C and missed it.
  4. I can assure you mate that actually happened at Cleethorpes. He was giggling to himself whilst he was cueing them up.
  5. MARCHING POWDER You were right mate, the best bits were in the trailer. A pub oldies night would have been more fun.
  6. Yes that's a good flyer you've done there mate, it's a bit like the flyers in the days of The Catacombs where they invited the reader to come and listen to the sounds of and then listed about 8 current plays however in typical Sooty fashion you've taken it to the extreme with how many 120 ?
  7. During one of the Cleethorpes weekender Sunday night finales I was triple decking with Roger Banks & Shifty and Shifty decided to play Billy Ocean, Maxine Nightingale & Footsie, he was trying to wind up the 100 club crowd and it worked because Ady came on the stage and told him to cut it out, so Billy Ocean has been played at Cleethorpes albeit just as a wind up.
  8. Phil, you're dead right but why lump Al Wilsons "The Snake" in with Footsie. There's nowt wrong with the Snake. IMO The Seeds would have been a better choice.
  9. I always thought it was early Casino or possibly Va Va's. I know it was one of RS's spins because he played me when I was round at his house at that time.
  10. So with Si "The Fixer" & Baz "The Dark Horse" heading down the M6 It's turning into a proper Ashton & Culcheth lads night out.
  11. You love your double siders Mick, I love t'other side as well Monday through Maundy Thursday.
  12. Mick you reminded me a while ago, that I sold my copy to a mate of yours and to be honest at the time I actually hadn't listened to the "I got a man" side before I sold it. I was always dropping clangers like that. Like you say another great twofer.
  13. I agree all 8 tracks are brilliant.
  14. Mick, up to now you've highlighted The Versatones, Bob Collins, Cookie Scott & Moses Smith, all double siders, I suppose they take up less room in the play box.
  15. I'm so looking forward to this.
