  1. Jayne ,point was with Cliff and Fred,they only DJ at burnley and need to be heard by a wider audience.It all depends on the music policy Harry wants at his venue.I DJ'd at Burnley recently,does that mean i've broken through Salmon

Well said Chalky,venues like lifeline,Wilton,BurnleyLowton have this policy.i dj'd at Burnley recently and played a couple of 200+ records the rest of the set probably cost about the same,went down well as did Big danny's set after(better than mine if truth be told ),again few expensive items but a well thought out set.   13. I DJ'D at Burnley last month using these and they are the dogs bollocks the tip of the stylus is illuminated for perfect cueing in low light and they are very robust looking.At home i use ortophon concorde djs,but am looking to change to these Salmon

Ted i think the problem ,is that most minor promoters(no offence intended) i.e local soul nights dont check for conflicts in their area before setting dates or it could be that these are the only dates available to them,this problem seems to be more prevalent than it was in the past.There are venues in the northwest that will always pull in the punters(Prestwich,Middleton,Burnley) so why organise a local do on the same night ?.Iknow a lot of them put a lot of time ,effort and money into it ,but you struggle to recover your outlay ,why bother?.On another point if we went back to traditional start time for nighters i.e 12.00,most of the so called warm up do's would get more punters in.Only my thougts.
