  1. Just checked amazon and how about this Sean... Frequently Bought Together ++Price For All Three: £16.97 Some of these items are dispatched sooner than the others. Show details Buy the selected items together This item: QUEEN EMILY ~ Queen Emily Audio CD £8.99I Get My Groove: Crossover Soul From The Deep South ~ Various Artists Audio CD £3.99Love And Jealousy: The Deeper Side Of Southern Soul ~ Various Artists Audio CD £3.99
  2. Got to agree those two CD's are the bargains of the year - wonderful stuff and the epitome of 'Just soul'. On your recommendation Sean i'll pick up the Queen Emily - I rarely buy newly recorded Soul - but if there is is even a hint of programmed backing I'll demand a refund personally from you in March The Ronnie Lovejoy tracks on the the two CD's stick out like a sore thumb, sorry Mike
  3. Great track.....was it really a tenner back then?
  4. I went down that road Flynny (use to come in packs of 10 as you say from Smiths and the like) so the majority of my collection has the coloured spines - I colour code by label (sad t**T) so Atlantic is Red, Brunswick Yellow and so on. I have heard people say the plastic liner deteriorates the vinyl - but I've not noticed and they have been in them for over 30 years! Can't get them now so have now adopted the the green paper and card. If a single has an original company sleeve I will put a thin polythene cover on it and file it, and if it is valuable I will put one of the thicker PVC covers used for EP's. What a dilemma - Mike
  5. No, fit perfectly - I buy the white card sleeves from them too but they look standard size.
  6. Get mine from Jazzman Chalky - I think they are the 'Bags Unlimited' type that are very price restrictive to buy direct from the US - https://www.jazzmanrecords.co.uk/v2/prodtype.asp?s=zbbp5t10&strParents=&CAT_ID=57&numRecordPosition=1 Hope it helps, Mike
  7. I'd go for those antique green paper covers, inside cardboard. The paper covers are great quality and to be honest if kept neat and tidy on shelves don't need the cardboard and of course won't take up as much space. Mike
  8. Chris, it was 'Bob Slater' from Middlesbrough - he use to supply Searling with items from time to time - he gets a name check re Cajun Hart on one of the 'After Hours' CD. He gave Richard his 'spare' UK issue. There must be thousands of 45's out there - he sold his collection in the late 90's. Here is one of them here on YouTube - Mike

'Good read-Great voice, bit of a lad with the drugs and ladies' Think you got it spot on - if I didn't already have it, I'd buy it!! Certainly read and make your own mind up - I thought his life has turned out very sad indeed. Mike

Apart from the period when he has had his reported difficulties - the last month - he has only had one negative feedback in 12 months (and 4 neutrals). Sounds like he is having some difficulty as his father has stated - if it was a scam surely he would just sell one or two big ticket items rather than lots of $5 -$20 items? Whatever, I hope he gets himself sorted and is able to satisfy his buyers. Mike
  11. Johnny Bragg wrote 'Just Walking In The Rain' no 2 US and no 1 UK hit for Johnnie Ray.
