They played Helen Shapiro on Popquiz or some similar programme once, think it was after it had been uncovered though

Cover Ups
One cover up I've alwayd found a bit strange is Johnny Guitar Watson's - Ain't Gonna Move - Jowat. Not sure if it's exactly the same take but it's on the Williams & Watson LP which loads of people must have had.

Cover Ups
Not even Richard knew it was Little Ann at the time& he had to call it something. If my memory serves me right it was Gilly who found out who it really was a few years later.

Johnny Taylor The Blues
Do you mean Blues In The Night?

Counterfiet 45s
Yes, but if they use hospital x-ray equipment for commercial purposed then I don't see why they wouldn't do the same with lasers.

Counterfiet 45s
My sister in law who's a radiographer was asked to do some scanning for archeologists a few years ago. They probably had to pay a fortune for it, although one of the consultants did spend all her holidays on Time Team style digging so maybe not. I'll ask her if she knows owt about this laser stuff, could always get her to do some scanning in her dinner hour

Ambassadors - Too Much Of A Good Thing - Pee Vee
Only good thing these Ambassadors did IMO was provide the backing for the Trannells - Blessed With A Love. They were also the 7 Dwarfs, or at least shared some members with them.

Who's In This Photo
Joe Hinton, unless it was Little Richard that ate all the pies.

Recent Buys
Yeah, Silhouettes is a great record got the LP & single now, LP's knackered but looks good on the wall though. I remember him having something on La Beat, but didn't know if it was Al Williams or Lester Tipton, turns out it was both, wouldn't have been able to afford 'em though even if Butch hadn't had them. Still a few nice things left, but I'm skint now though. Cheers Crumb

Recent Buys
My mate rang me up last week, he was selling what was left of his collection. Unfortunatly, a certain Dobson had got all the good stuff a few years ago, still, managed to get: Silhouettes - Goodway Sandy Wynns - Simco Frank Beverley - Gamble Ringleaders - M-Pac And off ebay , just under £20 Soul Shakers - I'm getting weaker

Tunes You Dont Like
It's usually the other way round, like 'em at first then go off 'em through overexposure but one that I hated when I first heard Sam play it at an alldayer in Bangor was LADY IN GREEN. Love it now though.

Going Rate
I'd been looking on ebay for one for ages without any luck then a vg+ one came up but I was outbid by a dealer at about £80. The day after it sold a minter appeared & I got it for £53. Just depends who's after one at the time I suppose, that was about 2 years ago. Hope that's of some help.

Programme about Detroit music, not just soul, MC5, Iggy etc as well. Just noticed that The Life & Death of Marvin Gaye is on before it.
