  1. Not many groups that can throw up as many quality unreleased tracks as they have. In fact, I'd even go as far as to say I prefer their non chart stuff/ album tracks/unreleased stuff to their hits and they take some beating. Kev
  2. Jackie Wilson - Higher and Higher , must be up there, pardon the pun. Kev
  3. Out of interest, what does it cost a bootlegger to press up say 500 45's. Not that I'm thinking of going into the practice of making boots. Just trying to see if the financial motivation is that big. Kev
  4. Just checked as I have both and they were written by the same persons - Warren Schatz & Bhen Lanzaroni with the addition of Revelation on their vocal version Kev
  5. It is, but at the time of release it was generally described on lists and mags as a vocal version to The Brothers. Accepted it is not the same backing track but there there is a thread in there! Kev
  6. Just threw a few tunes together without too much thought, just as my first attempt. Kuh Ledesma - Dreamin' Gale Eason - I can feel the hurt Revelation - I can't move no mountains (feat Arnold McCulloch) Lolleata Holloway - Is it just a man's way Ralph McDonald - In the name of love (feat Bill Withers) Charisma Band - Ain't nothing like your love William (Mickey) Stevenson - Stormy Willie Hutch - Let's try it over again
  7. The Stateside label was also in Singapore during the sixties, but they had Made in India around the bottom of the label, otherwise the same. So I presume the Indian pressing plant(s) extended much wider. Kev
  8. I like their unreleased version of "Take him back if it makes you happy". Would be nice if they issued it in one of those box set motown 7's, if they do another.
  9. Sorted now. Thanks Everyone Kev
  10. Thanks Dave, That's what reminded me to put it up on here again. I'd like to pay what it's worth though, not take out a mortgage on it. Kev
  11. Girl Have Pity/Live up to what she thinks VG+ Please PM with price and condition
  12. You can't really count any Invictus/Hot Wax/MM stuff, because that was in effect as close as you could get to being Motown in another guise, once HDH left. Kev
  13. Sweet Things - I'm in a world of trouble Clydie King - He always comes back to me Sweethearts - No more Tears ( more than a hint of Stop in the name of love) Shirley & Shirrelles - Look what you've done to my heart Felice Taylor - I feel love comin' on Fascinations - Girls are out to get you Kev
  14. It seems from the scans on google thet the Eddie Spencer on Power Exchange has an "A" on the ones with a push out centre and not on the ones with a solid centre. Maybe one of them was a second run rather than a demo. Kev
  15. Thanks Rick, Not only do I get the answer, but I get it from the horse's mouth, so to speak. Kev
  16. Sounds great, is the 45 the same and any chance of a scan of the letter Kev
  17. Really! I've always loved it but never known it to be played out anywhere. I know it's an album only track. Kev
  18. The only promo copy I've got on a moulded 7" single is this one..................which plays at 33rpm but at least has Cissy Houston on it! I've got plenty with "A's" on them but they're not demos The sink sounds like a goer for me on Sunday. I'll pm you later in the week and make arrangements Kev
  19. A nice post and welcome to Soul Source. As the old saying goes...........The UK and USA................two countries separated by a common language.
  20. I've had these since they were released and got them from a radio dj back in the 70's. He got pretty much everything issued in the UK during that time. The James Fountain is clearly just stamped and google images doesn't seem to throw up any other versions other than the issue. The Eddie Spencer search throws up some with an "A" and some without. Are they demos, or not..................and I know what you're thinking..............who really cares. Kev
  21. I think you're right, or was it the same LP that had "My love is your love" on it too Kev
  22. It's me that's going mad...............different film!!!!
  23. Not in my world, here in the UK! You aren't going mad after all
  24. think you'll find that's J.J.Barnes ??? You beat me to it Swifty
  25. The album version is different to the single on both tracks. This is the most noticeable difference. Haven't heard the boot version but I presume this is the one referred to. Kev
