    Does the WD copy skip?
  2. I'm old enough to remember when bootlegs drove down the price of originals. Jeff King and his Soul Sounds, Simon Soussan, Selectadisc, OOTP releases etc. I snagged an original Sandi Sheldon demo around 1971 for £8 only for it to be booted and available for 90p the following week. Nobody was then interested in the original😪 Thankfully things have changed for the better👍
  3. If he has, it's his first 'original 45' purchase!🤣🤣🤣
  4. The vg copy on ebay didn't take long to sell at $3700 earlier today
  5. Nothing to do with the query but 'Docker' from Gloucester (I think that's correct, my memory is going a bit) had the first copy that was played at the Wheel. He brought it to Lord Jim's in Huddersfield where I gave it a spin! Happy days
  6. I get asked to play this by the organiser of a local event, which I do for charity, as it is her favourite tune. Last time I was there, another DJ played it on a 'bootleg. The organiser was absolutely furious and told him to $%#& off!🤣

I used to own an emidisc machine. Twink (Ian Bottomley) would go to Wigan and come back with orders which we cut and he then sold them the following week. I can't remember what we charged, it may have been based on rarity value but I can't remember. The blanks cost 50p when 45s cost 38p. Happy days🙂

I have an old address book. When I get time I'm going to list lots of names from back in the day to see if anyone knows where they are. Cheers Julian
