  5. Excellent, 'cause it's exactly like my copy!! Julian
  6. Hi,that delta number on your attachment was allocated in Jan 1967 - too early for a boot surely? Don't remember this being played before 1971/2 ?? so wy boot it before it got popular over here ( or was it a massive hit in the States?) Julian

I used to make them to order. Ian Bottomley ( Twink who DJ'd at the Central with Ian Dewhirst)) used to get the orders from Wigan Casino and then we would cut them from the 45s that I had - think we charged a fiver each. Anyone on here buy one from us at Wigan ( I never went to Wigan, but still had the tunes! ) We used to sell the OOTP stuff that I bought wholesale from Chris Burton as well. Anyone ADMIT to buying any of those Julian

  14. Hi Tony L'Ambassador was on Melbourne Terrace ( I think) near the University - Kegsy will probably be able to confirm the exact address as we were both there when it got 'raided' and we ended up in the cells all night!! Think this was the night that Swish played the record deck without putting a 45 on first! I wonder why? String of Beads was on Manor Row Julian
  15. String of Beads - Bradford 1967? Jazz Club ( Plebeans) - Halifax - seem to remember allnighters around 1965, but then again, my memory may be going! Julian
  16. I've got a full refund from this seller. He seems genuinely to have been 'conned' by a 'friend' of his, who simply has not posted the 45s to the winning buyers as he was supposed to do! You don't normally go from 580+ 100% positive fedback to a cheat overnight. The seller accepts that he should have had the 45s in his possession before selling so he could control the sales and postings. It's cost him alot of money to refund us all. Anybody else on here been conned or ripped off by a so called pal? Julian

  21. Hi Kegsy knew it didn't look like my copy - but I thought it had been booted on a blue label? Julian (always willing to learn - well, that's what Vandella tells me when I'm getting a bo-----ing!)
  22. Think the 45 in the picture may be a bootleg

Also agree with Mark that there was so many of us went and yet and wasn't until recent years that we got to know each other, the guys I am refering to are Les Hare, Julian Bentley (although he maintains he never went, or he can't remember), Mark Baildon, Keith Williams and many more. Regards, Alan
  24. Thanks Pete just done this. Hopefully it'll get sorted soon. Pissed off though as I would prefer the 45 not the cash back!! Julian
