Didn't know that was the story mate, thought a moses smith (a la epitome of sound) jobbie was done. You learn something every day! As I said in Clifton Hall thread a couple of days ago definitely remember Keith Minshull playing it out in '82/83 there at the correct speed as we know it today. Do remember as by then I was used the the 47rpm version getting played out and my ears pricked up on hearing a different version!

I always remember Keith Minshull (in 82?) playing "The Originals - Suspicion" at the correct speed (as we now know it to be the original today) at Clifton Hall before the 47rpm "Prophets" became the definitive 80's version! Including my pressing I bought at Leicester Oddfellows!

Awesome musical period in my life anyway 4 sure! As you say we all had broader horizons then! Bought this Amy Stafford monster early 90's I think and cost me £30, not to be sniffed at then and still have it to this day. Flynny right about same time as IIHK and took me a lot longer to get one of those..in fact bought it off Col Denham only 2 years ago on this very site!
