This third release from Go-Ahead Records revives and finally makes available Bobby Womack's anthemic 'Home Is Where The Heart Is' an indemand 'Modern Soul' rarity that has been a firm favourite on the Northern Soul dancefloor in recent years. It is now regarded as a Top 10 Northern Soul tune throughout the UK and Europe. How fitting that in 2011, the year of Bobby's highly acclaimed UK tour, the record should once again see light of day as a 45 in the UK (having originally been released in 1976) coupled with another track which has been hugely indemand, as an LP only title, for some 25 years. Silly bugger that I am, I just missed one of these on eBay for $5.50 US / £3.50 UK That's three and a half quid where I come from. Three pounds fifty! Now... Along with Boylans and Sound of Music, Revolution did a good line in new releases (picked up The Fantastic Puzzles in there for 80p etc.) and had good stocks of all the Soussan pressings of the day, during the Sammys years. Was always a 'must visit' location on a Saturday afternoon. Sean

Memory is going Martin, Kennys didnt open until 1979/80. Prior to that the shop that you would have visited on the Wicker in '76 was Windmill Records, run by Mike Kersey. Kenny used to work for Mike for a while and they did the Fairs together. In 79 when Mike moved up round Division Street and renamed the shop Hitsville, Kenny went with him. But some months after he left he set up 2-3 doors down from the old shop opening 'Kennys'. That reply really surprises me. I distinctly remember asking for that at an early Mr M's and was told 'no chance' as it wouldn't go down in there. Pretty much stopped me from going in ever again. Glad to hear they eventually saw sense! Great record. :0) Sean

Remember well Sexy Rexy's aka Paul Rex in Rotherham. Spent many a Saturday afternoon in there putting together my huge collection of Ben Shermans and Levi Sta-Prest! Was only telling my kids about it last week. Kendrick Fieldsends too - full of great clobber! Kids today, they've never lived! :0) Sean

I'm sure you're right mate. I've tons of OZ Green / Silver & Green / White Atlantics but i just cant pin down the origin of this ATCO 'Nice & Easy' 45 so I'm just throwing countries and whole continents around like they're going out of fashion! :0) Must dig it out and take a proper look! The Anniv single is the same mix as the Kent CD version mix Mike. It has Horns and Femme backing. The album (I've always played off) has neither - and like you, I prefer it. Sean

As Ken said, I used to have this back in the 70's and foolishly moved it on. Then one morning I woke up singing it and fancied having it back. Posted a want on here and Ken duly obliged for a ton! Lovely tune, no idea of current rate, but it was around in quantity and cheap as chips when I was a lad. But that seems like a 100 years ago :0) Sean
