  1. I know he covered it up but I am sure someone found out it was Little Ann for real, (I am sure I read it somewhere) but I could be wrong
  2. You all did now it is Little Ann pseudonym ?
  3. I am pretty sure there were 2 stock copies One was a single line title and the other 2 lines East and west coast ? Always around £100- £150 and much rarer than the demo, which is odd

  6. Blimey a copy has just appeared on Evilbay item 274726551988 The seller has mentioned The Wessex auction copy (but not the price) and wants $24,999 or make an offer
  7. Positive Sounds is normally a £250 record and is off the scale at over £1150 something is amiss
  8. Is this the group who made the rare LP ? Anyone know who each member is/was ?
  9. Roger, like most studios, let it out for DIY projects $$$$
  10. It's ironic that Ebay decided to use the (Private Bidders) option after they realised that sellers (who had 2 or more copies of something) were contacting and selling there remaining copies to lower bidders and thus avoiding fees. Always 2 sides to every coin
  11. There was another group recording in 1967 about 400 miles a way from Detroit I agree that the Demo Ristic sounds Garage Rocky I just thought would throw it in the mix (I don't have a sound file)
  12. Now you have got me even more interested as if anyone should have seen them...... Can you take a look at this link please and if you spotted or purchased any of these on your flicking journeys What's more interesting is no info (that I have found) on any of them, apart from Little Stevie https://www.45rpmrecords.com/ST/Demo Ristic.php Ace records got the "rights" to his stuff so someone should know ?
  13. The studio did some proper stuff, my beady eye has spotted (it's very small) a familiar face on the Fourth Level cover, bottom right
  14. I wasn't a member in 2008 and funnily enough that was when I heard it out (can't remember where though) Found the credits and wondered if we know who the group were ? 15. Hope the French seller on Discogs is not the same person
  16. Sorry Mike you have to be a member of Discogs to see what was said by staff I will try and find out from them what #333552 means and who did what and when (but I am guessing they will withhold that info as the whole world is going far to PC when it comes to these things) A similar thing with David Ruffin and Joe Simon is here
  17. This what Discogs said about The Soul Brother (I checked in the history) "Release has been blocked from the Marketplace as a result of a legal notice received by Discogs from the rights holder. Ref. #333552" There also are/were look-a-like counterfeit copies of the original release being sold for a lot of money as genuine originals[which they are not].The printing on the song title isn't quite right,[the C in "Special" and G in "Girl" are slightly larger than the other lettering]…….Spotted on ebay 7/2/16. Seller claiming to be from Osaka, Japan but actually based in France.
  18. Clearly this one will pay the most for advertising

  22. I often wonder what Dave Godin (RIP) would think and say to all this nonsense How many souls are there ? Northern Soul / Boogie Soul / Modern Soul / 70's Soul / 60's Soul / R&B Soul / Motown Soul / Jazz Soul / Southern Soul / Funk Soul / Across The Board Soul. Did I forget any to add to the flyer 😀
  23. If you ask Rob Smith in Nottingham he always used a carrier bag or 2 (funnest thing I ever saw) 😀
  24. The way all these dogs are being stolen for ££££'s and the price of records going up and up DJ's are going to need security guards, as well as bags before long
  25. Manship spotted the sale on popsike and it has to be a rare local thing, but I agree and my money will stay in my wallet
