Why £300 Carolyn Crawford 6t's 40th Anniversary ?
That's a great question and I agree there have been so many criticisms of new records being overpriced and how dealers are ripping off the buyers I will wait for it to

Lenny Curtis Info?
This is slightly embarrassing, what I can remember (I hate getting old) is that the conversation started with me asking if the song Jimmy Mack might have been them singing about him and that he had left Detroit and one of them perhaps had dated him or had a crush I was stopped of course in my tracks and told about the record being about a Vietnam "boy" and Berry had shelved it in 1965 and the released it in 1967 The things we come up with eh 😀 I will be able to sleep better if we can find out

Lenny Curtis Info?
Sorry to throw this spanner in the works Robb, I spent so many years chatting at "soul" nights and it was just somewhere at the back of my mind and thought would just see what others thought (I wish I could remember when and who) Sadly Mike passed April 10th 2002 I wonder if Gilly knows as he was great friend with Harry Baulk who was friends with Mike ? I have pm'd him

I am beginning to wonder if the label was a "takeover" thing (by Spry later) (what with the dates) And to confuse matters even more same numbers on these 2 Were the brothers Chick and Chuck (The Spiders) ? Ray Jackson (Charles Wright & The Watts 103rd St Rhythm Band)

Mary Chapman The Queen Of Northern Soul
I was so sad to here that Colin had passed away 12th July 2019 (I may have missed it on another thread). I lost touch a number of years ago and I will always remember how Mary and Colin came over for dinner one Saturday and my wife cooked them both a lovely meal (chicken divan (very 1970's and Colin asked for a second helping)) and we talked and talked......about soul and then some....RIP Colin....Top Man, behind a great lady and one of my inspirations in life and music

Cenco Records....info please...big label
It was on Soulful Detroit and maybe I got it wrong (I should have been more accurate Ady) as he mentioned Spry Records., which I believe Cenco was a sub label, so I assumed (and we know what assuming does) It's about 3/4 down https://soulfuldetroit.com/showthread.php?9464-Black-owned-record-companies-in-the-60s-and-70s

Cenco Records....info please...big label
I am new to this site so I apologise if this has been covered before (please direct me to any threads) I read the great story on Kell Osbourne https://chalkster101.wordpress.com/the-kell-osborne-story/ This lead me to Robb K (thanks again) stating that Leon Rene owned the label Spry Records (maybe there is a connection) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leon_René I then looked at the releases and found out that there are quite a lot that have no info about the groups such as The Turbines and Fred And The Turbins (both big $$$$) on the "scene" The first release on the label was Ike and Tina Turners LP showing the address as 1610 Argyle Street Hollywood California USA Most of the release are here (some gaps) https://www.soulfulkindamusic.net/cenco.htm Any info would be superb and I feel this could be a big thread for us anoraks (but I guess and hope that this site is for this sort of thing 😀)

I want to thank you for guessing (all wrong so far) Here are some more visual clues as promised (all 4 tracks were penned by this man) and as yet no release dates (late 1960's early 1970's ?)
