Eddie Daye "guess Who Loves You" On Shrine
Needs must so asking for offers on these I'd say all are really nice copies about EX /VG++ by my grading which is pretty shit hot IMHO. Eddie's got an "x" on it but nowt to detract from overall look. No swaps just money please. Give it till Monday. Thinking £1000+ for Eddie and £2000 + for other two. Prefer these were picked up really so condition can be seen to be as stated but whatever an arrangement can be made. ROD

Priced Not To Sell
As the moderator I do notice this. A lot! Think though I'd be taking it a bit too far if I actually mentioned this to the sellers concerned. ROD

NEW - Get Down With It..little Richard, Crackin' Up Over You - Roy Hamilton
Giant, Think if you read the ad the releases are licenced so comment from you OTT which I've edited. Anyone who wants to talk about boots/re-issues for the umpteenth time can open a topic in LAYB and not derail Neil's ad. Locking this. ROD [Forum Moderator]

Gazumping On Ebay
As a punter Steve no I wouldn't want to get involved in such an auction and IMO a set sale would have been the way to go. Ebay often throws up such goings-on. It's not always the seller who withdraws items for auction off his own bat. Plenty of buyers offering money to end auctions early. Think you just have to accept that some people operate differently and as long as no fraud or dishonesty just move on to something else. ROd

Gazumping On Ebay
I noticed the Ebay sales last night. I see the seller posted a link to those sales in Ebay/Website section at 12.05pm today, and followed up with a further post at 12.57pm in Sales asking for offers but without a link. In view of points raised I've added a link to the sales on Ebay to that 12.57 post to make it obvious that the sales are on here and Ebay. My general view is that as long as sales are honest and out in the open then it is up to the seller how he markets his 45s. Personally wouldn't have two sales going on of the same stuff at the same time using different outlets as it may result in some confusion. ROD [Forum Moderator]

List Of 6 Wants If Anyone Can Help?
Thank you Steve for injecting a bit of sanity there. It's three days since he posted his wants. He may not be on here a lot though I did notice he was on earlier. Whilst an acknowledgement is polite he has not reserved 45s and let anyone down. Hopefully reading this he will get back to you all at some stage. ROD {forum moderator]

The Tomangoe'S - I Really Love You (Washpan)
As you are aware gentlemen ads such as this are not really for general tittle-tattle nor OVO arguments ROD {Forum Modertator] Actually I remember exactly when I got first copy of this 45. It was March '73 cos I was working at Global and was only there for a month in between jobs and I swapped it for Toni Lamarr on Buddah. ROD [NOT the Forum Moderator]

Solomon Burke On John Manships
The Wilson 45 is a record I dug up as an "unknown" for the US Beach scene some 20 odd years ago and passed on to a dj mate in Winston-Salem. It went absolutely massive over there and was bootlegged. ROD

Richard Caiton - I Like To Get Near You
I closed this topic as didn't feel it was the right place to discuss rarity/price of 45 in question. Exhuming a want over 6 years old and going from there IMO is not the right way. Just start a new topic in LAYB and if you feel you need to refer to this ad you can always put a link in. Thanks ROD [Forum moderator]

Seagrave, If you have a topic for discussion I suggest you open it in LAYB. As you can see from the responses you were perhaps too oblique. ROD {Forum moderator]

Al Williams - I Am Nothing La Beat Issue
I think you've misunderstood Phil. No links in Sales JUST to a website without listing priced 45s. The Anglo lists you post have an address and email contact details so why would I object to a link to website as well. In fact if you look at November list I put a link in to the auction. I just leave it to you to post as you see fit as long as 45s for sale can be seen by members on opening the ad. ROD

Al Williams - I Am Nothing La Beat Issue
What Chalky said. Actually Phil you do put sales in this section for Anglo-American. As long as there are prices it's OK. As does Dave Thorley for Top Dog. BROWNIE and DT are members on here so they can take orders through the site rather than having to go through their own website. Anglo is a bit different but if you remember I allowed it because you are acting to pass on any inquiries received through the site, and Tim's list is of interest to members on here. The auction part of Tim's list was split off because it is easier to look at his site for the current bids than having to update on here. ROD [forum moderator]

Without Richard playing it I wouldn't have had a clue. I did know him well though so I guess he may have mentioned other track but positive he played it too. ROD

Anybody Know Anything About This Lee Vester Hayes 45?
It's not awful but IMO it's missing necessary ingredients to be anything more than interesting. Not a particularly memorable start. A change [for the worse] in the middle instead of a break and no back-up vocals to add some excitement. Comes across as plodding. ROD
