  1. How about Anita May and the Interstate Five.Loads around the Pitsburgh area in the 80,s.All looked new presses but legal? as they went to the trouble of producing proper Audio Arts labels. Now its on Audio Forty as a kosher 60,s release demo.Never seen an issue though!Oh and i think she is the same singer as Cathy Carlson and Bootleggers on Discovery.

I dare say that unscrupulous people do skim to try to rip people off but it is obvious to spot when a record has been skimmed.I have records that i have had skimmed. Its horses for courses. For example,i have had Glen Miller on Doctor Bird done because it was given to me and it was virtually unplayable. However it is lovely thick vinyl and a skim made it 100 times better. It has brought back records that were totally unplayable back to life!
  8. I,m with you on this Chalky from his description of the lyrics and the piono intro i would deffo say Conquistadors.
  9. Also it can be a very fine line between Doowop and Soul.Although generally these collectors are a generation older than us.They all have many many records in their collections that we could want.Think about it.60,s group soul is the equal to our crossover!

  11. When this was big in the early days the only copies i ever saw were the west coast Circa Rosette issues. The detroit copies only seemed to turn up Stafford era ish when J E Morgan was played. For a long time it was thought they were re-issues.It would be nice to hear Gillys thoughts on this.

  18. If they had been talking to Paul i could have understood this.Anybody under his spell for too long ends up talkin bollocks. However on a nearly serious note i feel that they can,t play Northern at the Attic because the decks are not on a stage and central to the configeration of the room. When this is corrected i will get my polyveldts out for a jig.Keep on keeping on.
