Afternoon! Been sent a tape with 'I'll Do Some Steppin On My Own ' from the LP Best Is Yet To Come. Unknown to me - Quite like it. Anyone any info on her , the LP? Cant seem to find anything about her or the LP. ATB Rich

Pretty sure she's not a 'Tammy' - Her only 45 I think and the flip made one of the Dave Godin Deep Soul CD's. Got a UK release too on Atlantic. Pretty hard to find these days on either UK or US. Great 2 sides. Rich

A lot of the Forte 'find' went to a couple or few dealers (I think) and on a few titles have now been salted away pretty quickly. There was a bit of a spate on ebay earlier in the year but supply has pretty much dried up. Rich

I think the recent CD swap would cement the quality of tracks that are under-played/valued. I woudl guess the crossover/modern scene has embraced the format more so? Rich

Just an observation really but there doesn't seem to be any Black Music only fairs in the north? Used to visit one in Manchester many moons ago - Anybody know any different? Picked up the latest Record Collector and there seems to be a bit of a draught of decent fairs. One in Skipton next week (I'll be there if anyone else is) and keep missing the Harrogate one.
