  1. Can see the sentiment but don't agree. There are still quality rare semi known originals out there to be grabbed for £5 to £50......Just not William Powell, Mel Brit, etc etc etc. If you spend a couple of hours trawling through discogs listening to vinyl you haven't heard of before or ones you remember from the old days that never took off you can still get quality records cheap - Just not the well known trophy records. Who knows, your £5 bargain may be a 2k sound in 6 months, (doubtful I know, but we still buy lottery tickets).
  2. There's some real weird stuff going on at the moment. Did anyone notice the carvers with photo copied labels on & advertised as such are attracting silly bids generally? Also, 70s boots fetching more than originals are worth, even though clearly listed as 70s pressing ?...The worlds gone mad
  3. I bet the one you havent had is 'I Can't Get Into You' ?.......I've been after that for a while
  4. Agree. I think copies would soon dry up if it got a few plays though.
  5. Would imagine you are right mate. I bought the coloured one but in hindsight perhaps should have gone for the white as like you say common sense would make it the 1st pressing
  6. Sent a PM a while ago.....So did I. Cut him some slack FFS, he maybe has more important things to worry about. A record list isnt the end of the world
  7. Where did you get the form mate?...I've two with their feet under the table in Miami
  8. This has got me really scratching my head ????????https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?campid=5336079670&customid=ENDED&toolid=10013&mpre=https://www.ebay.com/itm/SHEILA-B-DEVOTION-Dont-Need-Doctor-1978-MEXICO-7-45-Unique-PS-Funk-Soul-/174296815457
  9. Hmmm...Both 1972 releases, which came 1st ?....Both Credit Norman West so even if slightly after The Soul Children 'rip off' is a bit strong wouldnt you say ?
  10. That would have been me I think Richard - I trawl discogs looking for cheapies I haven't heard or are long forgotten minor plays from the past popboutique vinyl?
  11. Has this ever been played out by anyone ?...The best tenner I've spent for a long while - Was a new one to me
  12. PM on its way
  13. The boot my mate had was the same as the one Sebastian has posted. He had bought it when it was booted in 76 so are you saying it was booted earlier ?
  14. Weren't the Mel Britt boots & originals in styrene ?....Years ago I seem to remember comparing my original (long gone before anyone PMs !) with my mates boot with the white band - I'd have sworn both were styrene. Was a long time ago though, so my memory could be playing me up !
  15. Original New Voice only. PM Please if you have one up for grabs Cheers
  16. Mr Soussan I believe unless anyone else knows better....It certainly appeared on his list first along with Suzy Parker , Dena Barnes (these heartaches not the good one !) and a few other 'questionable' re-issues at the same time in early 76
  17. O god yes...As bad as 'Fantasy' .....All 'appeared' on the same list.
  18. Might as well chuck this pile of dog turd into the mix .....
  19. PM sent
  20. One of the most embarrassing days of my life ....I had been sold some gear that turned out to be laxative....I felt sorry for Tommy Taylor & Tony Warot who were in the car with me
  21. There were some interesting results. I stopped bidding on Lainie Hill because I would think it a £300 - £400 record tops as opposed to £600 +. There were some nice job lots that went through at reasonable prices.
  22. £100 plus fees this afternoon mate
  23. OK, I'll take your word for it but to be honest I have never considered it a particularly difficult one - perhaps I still look at things with my old glasses on
